This is the first time I have heard of this die! Wow it is so cute and so many ideas for it too! It is an older die but I do love it! Thank you for keeping this around!
As soon as I hear the LF intro music start-up, I start smiling because I KNOW I am going to love what I see ---> see, I am smiling :-D Love these cards - so fun! Thank you so much!
Such adorable cards! Lawnfawn makes such creative and innovative stamps and dies! I love how all of the stamp sets mix and match to work together. It really helps to maximize the use of each stamp set. If I may, I'd like to share a little tip: if you want to use a penny, but it will show underneath the smaller stamped image placed over top, simply cut a piece of coordinating cardstock the size of the penny and glue it on top to cover it. Then you'll still have the penny underneath for weight, and it will be hidden, as well. Also, as I watched these darling cards come together, it occurred to me that Tim Holtz released a product, Distress Micro Glaze, which is a waxy substance developed to protect the surface of Distress Inked projects, so the ink no longer activates when wet. I'll bet this product would work great applied in the channel of these sliders and on the reverse side of the penny, enabling the penny to seamlessly glide without catching. I'm going to try it! Thank you for sharing these adorable slider cards! You have inspired me to try these interactive cards with lots of stamp sets. As always, I'm looking forward to your next video, too!
Kelly, these are awesome! Kitty card--yaaaay!!!! Really love the galaxy card, too. Great way to get the background. I've struggled with creating galaxy backgrounds using watercolor. Maybe I'll try ink blending. Thanks so much for sharing these! :)
You guys are amazing!!! I've been trying to make an ink blended galaxy for a while now, with little success. I guess I just need to add a little more black to my page. And the world revolves around you??? I need to make a card with that, since my parents used to say that to me all the time, because of how last minute I tend to be.
Hi Rosanne, yes washers are a great alternative to the penny. Just make sure they have a bit of weight to them to really get the sliders moving! Thanks for the question :)
thank you so much for the video! very informative and impressive skills =) just wondering about the powder tool to reduce friction? I don't see the justification in buying it for making a few slider cards, is there any alternatives or does it make much difference? thanks!
I've seen bloggers stack bunch of paper circles together. The advantage to the dime or penny is that the weight helps the item to move. If the button is flat enough so you can easily attach the foam tape and so it slides easily, it would probably work, though you wouldn't have the weight of the penny or dime unless it was also made of metal. You could probably also substitute a metal blank of some sort, though, it might actually cost more than using an actual coin.
It's a pity you don't have black or colour adhesive foam, because with a dark cardstock it's clearly visible when you look at it from the side... Amazing cards, anyway! A big kiss from Spain!!
Hi! The powder is used to remove the stickiness from the sides of the foam tape so the slider piece can move freely. It isn't essential to making a slider card. :)
Hi Kim, you will want to use a powder tool to remove any stickiness from the edges of the foam tape and make sure that the size of the foam tape piece on the coin is small enough to fit in the slider channel without touching the edges. Hope this helps :)
Hello! In this video we used Lawn Cuts dies with a Big Shot die cutting machine and also a Fiskars paper trimmer to cut our cardstock and patterned papers. Thank you :)
aber für diese Art von sliderkarten brauche ich ja nicht extra die dies kaufen. .. es reicht ein Set Kreis framelits und man hat noch viel mehr Größen zur Auswahl... Dinge die die Welt nicht braucht
Anyone like me who can’t bear to cover up all that beautiful print paper don’t forget you can cut or die cut out areas that won’t show to use on other cards.......I just can’t cover up that much designer paper no matter how much I keep amassing...lol.
Just an update: Stop using pennies. This country is experiencing a coin shortage. Use washers or tokens from places like Chuck E. Cheese. Do not use real US currency. STOP using pennies

Kelly, we don’t have pennies in our currency. Can I use washers instead? 🌹Rosie of Oz 🇦🇺
Hi Rosanne, yes washers are a great alternative to the penny. Just make sure they have a bit of weight to them to really get the sliders moving! Thanks for the question :)
Your card is so sweet😊. Also just a comment, your rings are so beautiful! Lol just got slightly distracted 🙂
Also how does the added width affect the envelope?
super cool!!
thank you so much for the video! very informative and impressive skills =) just wondering about the powder tool to reduce friction? I don't see the justification in buying it for making a few slider cards, is there any alternatives or does it make much difference? thanks!
Susanck the powder tool is useful when embossing stop static and finger prints spoiling your cards.
Out of this world ah-mazing 😉😉
I like these a lot, but I think you could have saved a big piece of that pretty plaid in the center, and just used a frame, since it didn't show.
I think u meant the yarn is smaller than the penny
Why not use a dime instead of the penny?
She saved 9 cents? (I couldn't resist that answer. Lol) I've seen them done with a little circle of cardboard too.
Is it possible to use something other then money? Would buttons work?
I've seen bloggers stack bunch of paper circles together. The advantage to the dime or penny is that the weight helps the item to move. If the button is flat enough so you can easily attach the foam tape and so it slides easily, it would probably work, though you wouldn't have the weight of the penny or dime unless it was also made of metal. liked this as well
awesome!! thanks for sharing
preeti d. Thank

Nikki Fennel BabySteps Vlog Whenever I use foam tape, my Sharpies come in handy to blend in the foam edges with the color of my cardstock.
Merilee Denner Good point! Thanks!
What is the powder for?
I didn't have it can I take something else for it or can I leave it out?
Hi! The powder is used to remove the stickiness from the sides of the foam tape so the slider piece can move freely. It isn't essential to making a slider card. :)
What is the name of this powder ?
Here's where I got mine: www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/EK-Success-POWDER-TOOL-Applicator-54-04002-20266
I have a problem. Why my slider thing doesn't slide like your card
Hi Kim, you will want to use a powder tool to remove any stickiness from the edges of the foam tape and make sure that the size of the foam tape piece on the coin is small enough to fit in the slider channel without touching the edges. Hope this helps :)
Awesome! !
can u told me how can u cut the cardboard and what the name the cutter
Hello! In this video we used Lawn Cuts dies with a Big Shot die cutting machine and also a Fiskars paper trimmer to cut our cardstock and patterned papers. Thank you :)
A magnet would be a good penny substitute
wow!!!
aber für diese Art von sliderkarten brauche ich ja nicht extra die dies kaufen. .. es reicht ein Set Kreis framelits und man hat noch viel mehr Größen zur Auswahl... Dinge die die Welt nicht braucht
No need to a buy a special die if you have circle stacked circle dies
💕
Anyone like me who can’t bear to cover up all that beautiful print paper don’t forget you can cut or die cut out areas that won’t show to use on other cards.......I just can’t cover up that much designer paper no matter how much I keep amassing...lol.
Thanks for sharing that great tip for conserving patterned paper! :)
An idea: a moon/satellite orbiting a planet!
The yarn is smaller than the penny 😱
Be sure to use a dime.
