Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.14And He was given dominion, glory, and kingship, that the people of every nation and language should serve Him.'Isaiah 9:6,7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace…' The Son of man shares glory with the Ancient of Days. isiah 42:8 says God doesnt give his glory to another, and therefore that would seem to contradict daniel 7:13 because all nations are to serve the son of man with the Ancient of Days. The government is put on the child's shoulder as every nation shall serve Him; the child called mighty God prince of peace.Micah 5:2 But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for Me One to be ruler over Israel-One whose origins are of old, from the days of eternity(eternal and that is God).
This is an amazing channel with such great information. I love the clear way you explain things, and I look forward to learning with you this year in Come Follow Me!
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! You are a gifted summarizer and teacher. The most crucial point, from my perspective, is that when the last apostle died (was tranlated) priesthood keys for all the Church were lost because only apostles, not local bishops, had all the keys for all the Church.
So basically reforming led to reforming which led to more reforming until the restoration of the gospel? Now I see why there’s so much disunity among Christians. All they do is reform!!!!
Thank you for an excellent explanation of the Christian faith, but you stopped short when you said Joseph Smith corrected Christian doctrine by adding doctrine that is non-Christian…like Multiple wives/ having our own worlds / and becoming Gods ourselves and have the whole universe worship us….none of that is in the Bible and Bible is the word of God…Explain please…
Really fair question. We, as all Christians, believe the Bible to be the word breathed out by God. We just believe that God hasn’t stopped breathing. We reject the idea that God’s word is confined to only the 66 books of the Bible. We understand that there was much revealed by God to His ancient prophets that was not included in our Bible today. Ultimately, the Bible rests its authority on God, and so we believe that as the Supreme Authority, God is able to continue to reveal His word and will through His servants, the prophets. Happy new year, and may God continue to bless you!
@ yes, that is true, which makes the Koran true also and other sacred writings where God has spoken to all his children here upon the earth. We don’t have a “only us “ attitude towards on the word of God or do we…think about it..
@ I mean no offense to anyone who adheres to Islam, but the Koran does not teach of the messianic mission and divine status of Jesus Christ. So while there may be truth in the Koran, inasmuch as salvation is taught to be found anywhere outside of Christ, we believe that that leads people away from the ultimate source of truth and redemption. Jesus Christ is the source of all light and truth, and so of necessity scripture must testify of Him. Furthermore, as Peter explains in 2 Peter 1:20-21, scripture is written as men of God are moved upon by the Holy Ghost. So we seek understanding by the same Holy Ghost as we consider teachings that are written. If the Book of Mormon is true, then it affirms that God the Eternal Father and His Son Jesus Christ live, and that they called Joseph Smith to be a prophet through whom the priesthood keys were restored to the earth to bind families together to God for all eternity. We don’t have an “only us” attitude, we humbly invite everyone to test the Book of Mormon for themselves: read and ask God through sincere prayer whether it is true, and then make a choice. And my witness is that it is true, God truly does make known to us truth by the marvelous power of His Holy Spirit.
