- Roxie Grand doll opening and review. MGA packaging is always amazing but a little space consuming so I'm glad I"m an unboxer. I always believe you can never appreciate a doll fully behind a plastic cover so if you want to keep your girl pristine but see Roxie in all her glory, I hope you enjoy this video.
There have been a few reviews on this girl that just show pictures! Please don't listen to reviews based on pictures - some of those leaks aren't even final designs. One lady I listened to made me want to throw Roxie at her and say, "this is what you call underwhelming, what does MGA have to do? Make her out of gold???" Wait till a girl is out and ready to flaunt it before you say yay or nay to the doll (like yes to the dress woo woo).

the swirls in her forehead are called edges, most poc have them. i think it adds a nice touch and you can see which doll you can relate to instantly when seeing them!
I saw a few videos on people getting them and they looks so beautiful!
shes too pricy for only one outfit i wish she came with a secoond outfit or at least extra accessories to make her worth the price. she is very pretty tho and the dress is very pretty. (that dress style is call mermaid)
Completely agree that an accessory would have been a great touch. MGA is notorious for overdoing their packaging to make a product look larger than it actually is. Cute doll none the less.
Added Information: To reconfirm no mid-body articulation I have removed her dress, the body is solid so there is no movement under the chest, nor above her waist line. However, I was incorrect in stating she can't look down, she is able to nod her head down, but not tilt it up to the sky. I know some people are noting her as $60 US for just a doll - I agree with the general sentiment that there should have been an additional accessory or secondary outfit to give her a little more flair.

Pretty sure the "plastered hairs" are not meant to be a style but rather an indication that the doll has a non-white ethnic background! If you look at the previous doll releases like Delilah, Nicole, etc., they have this in common.

Opal would make sense, it is way too milky to be a diamond. :)
60 dollars for what again? Whatts happening with RH lately?
Honestly the price point was not too far away from other dolls of this type. I am quoting her as top range retail price but I imagine her actual retail is NZ$100-120. Standard RH dolls are $70-80 in my country, but you are paying for her special edition'ness'. Generally these dolls are produced in smaller amounts.
I do consider her to have less wow-factor than the LOL OMG Fierce dolls which came out at NZ$100 however.
Overall I like her, she is pretty. Do I think the price could come down slightly, yes - but I consider that on a lot of playline dolls recently. I imagine covid has put strain on production of materails and is contributing to larger prices on toys (as it is on most goods right now - jib board being a materail that is like gold in my country right now for example).

This isn’t possible to really do with real hair for dolls so they have to be sculpted or painted
@@KiwiKollector It's just rather heartbreaking fro me. I adore dolls and they bring me comfort. Prices in Europe are going insane and these dolls are becoming a luxury to be able to afford. Im not too sad about this one, as she is certainly not for me, it just worries me about the future.
@@devilmaycry2948 The problem with doll prices raising is also effecting the secondhand market. Standard naked dolls have raised from $3 each to $5 here in a short amount of years. This is also due to an influx of secondhand resellers in the market. Charity shops are raising their prices to turn away resellers.

She's a beautiful doll ...no question...but are we really being charged extra for that daft stand ...that lever that turns her slightly left and right lol 😆......are the sparkles on her dress like real crystals or plastic ones ....I have sabrina rainbow diva and her dress is just outstanding....plus she comes with an extra outfit ...and lots of accessories and was so much cheaper then this doll is ...so I'm confused 😕 🤔what makes this doll so special so expensive....How's she any better then sabrina...or the other two rainbow diva's....
I feel MGA might be running out of ideas....this is basically tiara song from the royal 3 lol 😆 with maybe a different hair colour slightly different make up ..obviously different outfit ...maybe if this doll had a unique face mold ...something really unique to the rainbow high line then that could have made her more special....
I honestly thought this doll was going to be released with the rainbow vision tour bus ....not as a single doll in a box .....
Also look at the other collectors edition dolls ....lily cheng for example....she was amazing....well thought out ....designed ....and she came with extras too .....and was definitely worth the price tag.....and the storm twins where amazing. ...that's two dolls in one box both with amazing outfits and shoes and a handbag accessory.....
So I'm not sure what justifies the price for this doll ....

I don't know, she seems to have the same problems with glitch and the storm twins. Which the fact that they reused 3d assets to make the characters, so when the doll came out they looked like a copy of another doll.
i think she is designed to be displayed in the box, that stand match in the box and look weird out of it 😅, thats why is a "collector"

How did you find her so soon? Heard some places had early leaks but that's a crazy cool doll she is prismatic. She is worth it just for her hair and I think her eye color is new like tiaras. Thanks 😊

I think in the US she’s gonna be $59.99😭 $60 for THAT! What I hate about rainbow high right now is that they have started not to include second outfits with their dolls! Second outfits are what made rainbow high different from other dolls and they took it away. We are gonna complain about the scalpers on eBay but MGA is literally scalping us dry.
Hi there, I agree with the sentiment that there should have been some sort of additional accessory. Unfortunately due to the recent pandemic I can understand companies feeling the pinch as basic material costs rise. When this happens it is either increase the price of your product and hope it is still in playline cost reach, or reduce accessories.
This unfortunately has effected all areas of production.
However, that being said, again, I do believe she needed an accessory to make her $ point more reasonable. LOL OMG Fierce dolls were NZ$100 each, so NZ$40 cheaper with more flair.

Great review. She's lovely, has sort of a iridescent color scheme. I cant fault the doll itself, I just don't love the price, but she might be worth picking up on sale.
Yes the price point is certainly large for just the doll (I don't count the stand as an accessory). :)

MGA was expecting people to keepoll in box. So you are paying for a box you not keeping.
MGA is notorious for oversized packaging for less product. Mattel used to be the best package to product back in the day, but I have only been purchasing collector Barbies lately.... might purchase a few new Monster Highs :).
She is a gorgeous doll, but a bit expensive with no extra clothing or accessories- that stand looks like an instrument of torture 😂😂😂
Wait what do you mean she can't look up can down... all dolls after laurel and holly are able to... also, she should have the ribcage like jett does since she's another art of fashion doll... she has the ankles.. are you sure there's nothing there?
The body is solid, I opened her dress at the back. I stand corrected in that she can look down - just tried and apparently mine was a little stiff lol, but she cannot tilt her head upwards.

I"m unsure, I mean there is such a thing as milky diamonds but technically those diamonds are worth less as they aren't as clear.

@@michelleveee Honestly I think diamond, as her last name is grand... however milky diamonds are considered less valuable and that does not send a nice message about her as a person if so - so I hope not. :(
It seems like where you live where your from you get all the newest rainbow high dolls first way before they come out here where I am so if you don’t mind can you please make it a habit of reviewing any rainbow high dolls you get first right away because I just subscribed to you in hopes of that and I no personality that a lot a lot of people that I no would want to see those types of videos as well so I’m sure if you did your subscription amount would increase a lot just from doing those videos alone you doing that would be the only way we get to see the dolls out of box first way before they arrive to a lot a lot of other states in the U.S the Netherlands seems to receive rainbow high dolls way ahead of time before alot of places and there’s no out of box videos on them until right as they about to hit shelves so definitely you doing that you would be the only one so lots would watch the videos there’s zero your the only one who has gotten and made a video of Roxy grand only some pictures and hardly even that only like one person had pics of her so ya please get and review any new rainbow high dolls you can because that would be awesome 🤗 thank you !!

Does she the chest articulation? The only other doll to officially have ankle joints is Jett that also have chest articulation
No under chest articulation or just above the waist. Her body is solid.

And I think it’s for the best the ankle articulation didn’t do anything but make a doll harder to stand

It's a beautiful doll, but they wasted money on the ridiculous stand and to top it off, no second outfit! I'm getting tired of the mermaid style dress. Please do something different MGA! How about a 50s inspired or Regency or Mod...or or or. I would like to see a new colours, how about delicate spring green? brown?
A brown 50s dress would be amazing!!! I do agree that the stand is stupid. I would rather have had an evening bag or secondary outfit.

Yes its on the stand. I just would rather have had a doll accessory or additional outfit piece than a weird moveable stand lol.

Solid body so no chest articulation. However I was incorrected in stating she can't look down, she can, my dolls head was just stiff.
