Thanks Hornady for the video and information, great work! Like some other comments, I’d like to be able to add load information (name and weight), date of shoot, bullet information (manufacturer, type of bullet and weight), and muzzle velocity. Many thanks for all the great podcasts, keep up the good work!
Lacking specific fields, I'm putting info I want (shooter, rifle, cartridge, yards, date of shoot if not same as date entered, etc) in the group analysis title.
Great content. Hornady should compile all the ballistics videos onto a CD and offer it for sale. Maybe add some more visual graphics like the river / kayak analogy. Free on here is nice, but having everything put together somewhere is can't potentially be deleted would be awesome.
I really like how you can zoom in to identify the holes and the point of aim. I recently downloaded an app that has me lay a US quarter ($0.25) on the target to calibrate the dimensions. While at the range I rolled some masking tape to the back of a quarter so I could take pictures throughout the day while the overall target was still hanging up.
Any chance of adding the 6.5 mm Barnes 140 match burner to 4dof? Using zero angle is great for shooting multiple projectiles in the same rifle assuming they are in the 4dof library.
I gotta get more onboard with this kind of thing. Was checking out a different app but seeing as how I already have the Hornady ballistics app I figure WTH and go with this. Wish me luck, lol.
Seems to be the same as the various windows apps that existed way back before smart phones. That said, I like this app a bit more than ballistic x for a few reasons, especially for the ability to set measurement reference size. Ballistic X only does 1”👌
Not yet The app crashes when I choose the 'select picture' option, and it will not save my data. I reached out to Hornady support regarding both issues about a week ago and they said they're working on it
To the right of where you can type in 100, there’s an empty space that should say meters, tap that and it’ll let you change to yards. Took me a minute too but same for changing to cm and inches but you can see it on those ones
Got the app the day I first saw this video, 7 months ago.
Been using the group analysis feature...really like it a lot!

Is there a way to note the load used on the target like you can do with Balistic-X?

That's why I download the important vids like this. I can have them backed up on flash or hard drives, burn to dvd/bluray if I want also.
Seems more like group archive than analysis.
Thanks for presentation...
Edit ..just noticed more videos coming. .

With the point of impact you can take that and adjust to figure a better zero?
It's on my iPad & iPhone, but I wish this was also available for the MacOS (i.e., usable on Apple laptop & desktop computers)
I wish the app would calculate radial standard deviation in addition to mean radius! Other similar apps do so.
Can you go in and edit or remove extra POI's after you save the group analysis target ?

How do you change the offsets from inches to Mils?
Did you just copy Ballistic X directly or did they sell it to you?

@@baileymoto Ballistic-X offers any references side you’d like and has from the start.
@@baileymotoBallistic X had adjustable reference size since day one. 1" is default.
This is really neat. Thanks for sharing
Our pleasure!
When I try to pick a photo of the group the app crashes. I'm using Pixel Pro 6
I'm not seeing it yet on my App. I have been checking everyday since original video. I even checked for App updates. I'm on Android.
What version of the app do you have downloaded?
Does it work better than the Horandy app with the load data?

But how do you delete an analysis?
How can I delete an entry?? Can{t find the option.
That will be coming soon!
How can I change to yards?

The feature doesn't work. There is no way to save the photo or click done after cropping it. Hornady ripped me off. Fix your app.
If you need this app to calculate your MOA, then you probably shouldn't be shooting
There’s more to it then that, but it’s nice that it’s there too
