I like how the wand disappears, but in some shots you can see the shadow of it...spooky. Can't wait for footage from the Iowan Hard Enduro. Impressive ride Pat!
Yeah that is wild how it disappears and definitely weird when you see the shadow. Luckily it does that on its own too. Unfortunately I didn’t run a helmet cam for the Iowan which was foolish since it would have been some very interesting footage with how things went down. But at least I enjoyed it. Thanks!
Hey Pat Smage and Hannah Smage! Thanks for the look at some of the possibilities of the 360 one r! I've been thinking about getting one! Hannah gets 63 bonus points for the cool wheelie! Ride ride ride!
The camera definitely adds some interesting possibilities! Looking forward to using it more. Hannah has been working hard on her wheelies, they are starting to come around. That wasn’t her best but still a keeper.
Totally sold on this camera! I want it, a place like that to play, and your skills too would be nice. Great review of all the different shots. Answered tons of my questions.
I need to test it some more now thanks to the ama rule. It had some issues with focus in the summer with sun shining through the leaves. Hopefully that got fixed with updates. Stitching isn’t perfect and not as good of quality or sound either, but being able to adjust the angle after is nice.
I do still use it, but also use the gopro. The insta has been updated since and is better than when I shot the video, but a couple things hold it back and my computer does not like working with the footage. Maybe I just need to try some different settings. It’s close to awesome and has potential.
When 360 cameras film, they shoot a little over 180 degrees from a lens on each side of the camera. The software in the app then stitches those two images together, and since the stick is in between the two lenses, it can account for that and not include it in the footage! It's pretty dang cool.
It definitely opens up some new possibilities! It's cool to see the action in front and behind for the pitbike action since there's always a battle somewhere.
Yeah I almost reshot the unicycle line but since it was first try I didn’t really want to do it again, haha. I thought it was good to show kind of a stability limit of when it’s too much movement. I’ll try to be more stable next time. This channel will mostly be MTB with some trials once in a while, hopefully I can get back to it on the other one I run soon. 👍
👎Thumbs down Pat on the POV from the beginning till about 4 minutes in. Terrible angle just like thousands of punters on RUclips. You don't need that type of gimmickry because you are one of the best Riders around, and there's only really a handful. That POV camera angle is hideous 😄🤦🏻♂️ it's just a gimmick. It doesn't give a realistic point of view or angle at all. I think so many Muppets like it because basically they're fanboys and they don't really know much else...
Ouch, sorry you don't like it! I'll try to mix it up. I like it and think it is more realistic than on top of the helmet which makes everything looks even more flat. POV is tough for most sports but mtb/trials/enduro especially. Can't do the terrain justice. But it beats setting up a tripod every 10 feet! Any tips for a better location? I like on the chin bar of a full face but don't wear one too often. Thanks for thinking I don't suck!
Pat, What an outstanding illustration of this cameras potential. Thank you!
Thanks! I'm looking forward to trying/finding even more ways to use it, it definitely has huge potential for interesting shots.
That looks like an incredible playground
def the best video showing this camera Ive seen so far..
Yeah I saw all I want to know and your skill is so impress. Thanks again
Really nice review thanks
Ok so that's exactly the video I was looking for, what a complete test of this camera ! Thanks a lot!

This seems perfect for racing. You never know where the action is going to be.
It would be a great addition to your channel! Cool to be able to follow the action after its filmed. Keep up the good work. 👍
That was excellent. I can’t believe you don’t have 100k subscribers by now.
Thanks! This RUclips game is hard to do well in! I haven’t put enough effort to get that far but I do hope it grows a bit this year.
You unicycle also? Dang, you just keep getting cooler the more vids I watch
More unicycling coming soon! I like most things with wheels. 👍
Very good!!))))))
Thank you 🤗
yeah 🤘🏻

Great demonstration of that camera's capabilities (& your skills! 👏👏). Insta360 should be paying you for that; very impressive, thank-you 😊.
Thanks! That would be nice, but I'll take the camera for now, haha.
wow 360camera
You need to to get on the wess enduro , you have the skills!
do you think the chest mount on the dirtbike looks better than just a chest mount with a regular gopro?
I need to test it some more now thanks to the ama rule. It had some issues with focus in the summer with sun shining through the leaves. Hopefully that got fixed with updates. Stitching isn’t perfect and not as good of quality or sound either, but being able to adjust the angle after is nice.
Superb video and skills as always.
Thanks!
Just wondering if you are still using the insta360 R or have defaulted back to using gopros?
I do still use it, but also use the gopro. The insta has been updated since and is better than when I shot the video, but a couple things hold it back and my computer does not like working with the footage. Maybe I just need to try some different settings. It’s close to awesome and has potential.
How do you mount your camera when you do pov moto trials?
Usually under the visor.
That was so cool on top of the helmet. How did it make the stick mount disappear?
Magic! I don’t know, it automatically gets edited out which is awesome.

Ow
I don't understand how you can't see the stick that the camera is attached to. I liked the video though, looks like a blast!
It’s pretty crazy! But a super cool feature. Extra weird when you see the shadow of it.
That was an awesome review. Thanks Pat
Thanks! It was fun to see the outcome from some of the mounting positions that just wouldn't work with other cameras.
Nice that gets some sick views. The pit bike romp was so good looking.
It definitely opens up some new possibilities! It's cool to see the action in front and behind for the pitbike action since there's always a battle somewhere.
What bike do you ride?
Sherco for trials and enduro, Fatback for fatbike MTB in this video, Oset and klx110l for pitbike in this video.
nice footage all the way around. The unicycle made me dizzy. Hope to see you back on the trials bike more in the near future.
