I already wear, because of the rides with the Arctic Cat in winter lined leather motorcycle gloves. Well greased and additionally impregnated with beeswax. Are well protected against moisture for a few hours. When hiking in the mountains, where it is really cold, I would pull me well insulated heat protection gloves, with cuffs over. Of course impregnated. Logically, I am then at a cost of over 250€, but I have dry, warm hands and that for some winter.

Awesome review, Randall. Apparently Decathlon is not well known around here. I'm familiar with the company only because I was stationed in Germany during its inception in 1986 by the French athlete Michel Leclerq. Now with well over 800 stores world wide it offers sports gear for nearly every sport as far as I know. It won't be long before Decathlon becomes more recognizable as more You Tubers use the products such as Solognac. I have two pairs of mittens and one pair is from Thinsulate with wool glove inserts; waterproof, doubt it but they keep my hands warm in camp. The other pair I use for skiing and they are by Body Glove or Da Kine...buried in my clothing bug out bag in my Jeep.

Try neoprene gloves. Gauntlet style neoprene as used by duck hunters offer a good cold wet MANAGEMENT option. Duck hunting is all about wet and handling boats and decoys will eventually have water most everywhere.

Good vid, I like how you actually test gear before you recommend it, unlike most RUclipsrs. Is there any chance you could review the Snugpak Special forces bivy? So many people recommend it but no one makes a good review to say if it actually works.

I also have a few pairs of the old ECW military mitts . The Mutants KTA !! Oh BTW , with those Mutant's I have never got wet hands gathering woods , no matter the weather . I didn't know they had any Stores in the U.S. Judging by all the E.U guys I watch who use their stuff . Stock in that Company might be great idea , once the word spreads $$ . Hmm.... If you look for 100% waterproof gloves, look what they use for ice climbing. Gloves like komperdell ice pro.
I had one pair old model and my brother ordered one too but a new model one. Mine was kevlar reinforced on the palm and just resisted a scooter crash with hand reception on the hands. The palm was a bit used up but that's all. So Avery good quality, while the pair of my brother broke on a seal almost days after he received it and on normal use, no stress at all. So I don't know if it is the brand quality that went down or just bad luck on this one, but for the first one it is still going on after years.

Here is the link to the brand and a model pretty much like the old one I still have. (But mine have kevlar only on the palm.
      www.alpinsport-basis.de/Komperdell-Resistant-Pro-Glove_1
I put some glue stripes myself on the palm over the kevlar to have some grip. (I put the link for the pictures and the description, I don't know this website at all.)
And this is the brand page. It seems they stopped a lot of models, or they don't publish them on their website...
Anyway they have a 3 years waranty.
      www.komperdell.com/en/gloves/produkt1.php?id=401_02
But the cheapest option if you wear mittens is to buy the British goretex mittens to put over your gloves or your mittens.
You can find them here (i have the camo ones in goretex i don't know for the green ones what they are but they shoud be goretex too).
