This is my favorite arc in the show. It shows how much Deku has grown, and it shows that he is more than strong enough to face Shigaraki. *MANGA SPOILERS BELOW* So it’s really unfortunate that during the final battle between Deku and Shigaraki, Horikoshi forgot how powerful Deku was and just has him use a last ditch plan to sacrifice OFA. He barely got a chance to use OFA in combat in the final war arc and then he just loses it over the course of the fight. That one decision ruins everything for me. Everything else in this series ranged from pretty solid to absolutely insanely goated, but that one decision made the absolute final battle and the ending terrible.
Wdym horikoshi forgot how strong deku is? Deku literally wasn’t fighting with his 100%, nana told deku to finish shigaraki with a single punch, he just didn’t wanted to kill him yet because he didn’t want things to end without knowing, there wasn’t anything wrong about the deku vs shigaraki fight do idk what you mean
@jasfrick8947 yeah but that doesn't mean he needed to get rid of his quirks as a last ditch effort before getting more than like two or three good chances to show any of them off. That one decision ruined the fight and got rid of any hype for the fight. He should not have given Shigaraki his quirks. Losing danger sense was one thing. He could have done the rest of the fight without it and it would have been fine. But him giving up the rest of the quirks was the worst writing decision Horikoshi has ever done, outside of making Mineta.
@@gogmagaming33 Deku has done so many things with his quirks like using them simultaneously, fusing them, doing insane combos and even using his quirks in a way that the og users would never imagine, deku giving his quirks to shigaraki isn’t bad writing, deku killing shigaraki just like that would have been bad writing, if it was a character like endeavor or also probably bakugo i get that they would kill him immediately if they could but Deku its not like them, thats just how deku character always was, since he saw tenko in shigaraki in the first war he decided he wasn’t going to stop, Kudo was one of the users that didn’t understand deku and when he saw deeper into his memory he realized thats just how deku has always been + even mineta got development, since S5 he didn’t do anything I would call wrong
@jasfrick8947 it kills the momentum of the fight, because he only uses his quirks like a few times during the final war arc. If he had used them more in the final war arc *maybe* it would have made more sense, but no he barely used them at all in final war arc outside of like gearshift and a bit of blackwhip. We're not going to agree on this. Let's just agree to disagree, I feel that the final deku vs shigaraki fight is horrible writing, you don't, let's just leave it at that.
@jasfrick8947 also, Deku didn't *need* to lose his quirks to reach out to shigaraki. I didn't say that Deku taking out Shigaraki without reaching out to him would have been a better solution. I agree that having Shigaraki die without that closure would have been bad writing. But Deku didn't need to give up his quirks to reach out to Shigaraki. Him giving up his quirks was the bad writing decision IMO, not the fact that he reached out to Shigaraki
This story could be better animated. Not by the quality of the drawings, but by the movements of the characters. Sometimes I feel like they’re just coloring pictures straight from the magna and not actually animating the characters movements. Demon slayer is a great example of animation being done right. I really hope they fix this, I really like MHA
@@30klipsHe right tho. Bones don’t really try to take creative liberty like ufotable or mappa. Try to make it one to one with manga and ends up looking like moving slideshows
