Pintucks!!! I’m also obsessed with them and recently taught myself to sew them! They aren’t hard, just finicky and involve some math 😅 but they really elevate whatever you make!!!
I love the maxi length crochet dresses you showed, I'll have to keep my eye out for one of those. Also if you haven't seen the "Emma" adaptation with Anya Taylor-Joy that movie has the coolest 19th century hairstyles, you should watch it! Thanks for sharing this
1800s hair styles; What you might want to consider is zeroing in on Regency and 1820s/1830s court wear for inspo for "bow buns" and other wacky up-dos (Gentleman Jack, the tv show from England, has some great "court" hair-dos and tight face framing curls). For the braid loops you are looking for Civil War / Early Victorian paintings / tin photos for more inspo.
I’m loving trucker hats, Tevas, bright tshirts and the color yellow. I just want a kid summer. When I was a kid (80s & 90s), it was a “throw some clean clothes on and play outside all day” vibe. I think that’s my plan. I also have a few crochet items that remind me of when grandma used to make me things and when my mom taught me how to crochet for myself. I’m feeling nostalgic, y’all. ❤
Crochet all the things. That’s my plan this summer. That’s my plan right now but I haven’t had the time. Did you ever find a bag pattern you liked to do the tshirt yarn thing?? I love big hats but feel like I look ridiculous with them in. Especially with shorter hair. The skull cap type ones are super cute. Esp if you added some beads or something to them as well. I used to be all hardcore fall but the older I get the colder I seem to be all the time so gimme summer! 😂
No to swimming shoes as regular shoes. Or any plastic/rubber shoes. So uncomfortable! Otherwise, vintage sportswear is always cool, everyone goes through that phase 😄 Good for you for wearing princess hats as everyday wear 👏 American Apparel rebranded as LA Apparel.
American Apparel booted the sex pest founder out, and he went on to found LA Apparel, so it is the spiritual heir. Actual American Apparel isn't even made in the US anymore, afaik.
I feel like you are so in your essence. Everything you've been doing is so fresh and inspired.

That Marni bag collection is nothing but appropriation of Mexican market (shopping) bags 😂 save your money and just buy one from a Mexican 😌❤️
