Thank you so much. I'm in Nashville and my rocks are giving me hell. I'll try this method.

We call our NW corner of the Natural State "Rockansas". I feel (literally) your struggle as I take a break my my rock bar post hole digging work. In my case I bust up the hole with the bar to where it's loose enough I can remove the rocky soil with my posthole diggers. Thank you for making this straightforward and family-friendly video!

I wish my holes were that easy to dig, I have hard clay with large hard rocks that can be up to a foot in size not small rounded rocks like that.

I live in South Wales in the UK. Where i live is on a valley side a river. This river was probably a glacia. Anyhow my soil is pretty much old river bed. I put up a fence in the front garden and every hole was full of these stones. Nightmare. Luckily my friend had one of these stakes. One post i marked out was directly above a 2ft round boulder. Took forever to remove

What if you're digging a shallow well, and run into those rocks about 6-8' down? Haven't rectified this problem...yet.
