- Santiago Paredes spent a decade doing final inspections on 737 fuselages for Spirit AeroSystems, one of Boeing's largest suppliers. He says he filed an ethics complaint when his managers asked him to speed up inspections about where he was finding issues, and when he was ignored, he eventually resigned. He spoke exclusively to Kris Van Cleave.

get him in witness protection!!
Just said this. 😔
Yet the media used adjectives like whistleblower to describe the man. Talk about ethics huh haha corrupt journalism at its finest
Probably wouldn't help much, Boeing is one of the biggest defense contractors in the world, they have working relationships throughout the Intelligence Community.
Won't do hum any good. The government and Boeing are good friends.
We talking about the guy he gonna get killed@@blacksquid270
Welp, here's to hoping he's still alive by the end of the week...
he might last a few weeks... maybe... Boeing is obviously hiding something HUGE!!! ... think Space.... keep that in mind... shhhhh... dont tell anyone... i dont want to end up Poof.... 🤣
Woooo too soon. Too soon😊
@@BrettFightorFlight NOT too soon, they keep killing the whistleblowers. The fact that anyone is willing to still come forward at this point, lets you know how bad the problem really is.
Someone fit this man in a 24/7 body cam.
Boeing's cronies will find a way around that too.... surely the 2 previous "deaths" cannot be a coincidence... "third time is the charm"... isn't that how it goes?
They will send their hitmen! Criminal Boeing.
Security cameras in maximum security prisons stop working when there is a high profile defendant in custody, so I don't see a 24/7 body cam posing much of an obstacle. Did anyone ever actually see Jeffery's body?
Ignore defects on planes? I will never fly Boeing again. This is American corporate greed at its worst when you prioritize money over human lives
But American military companies have been doing this since 1970ties at least
And the health care industry.
You know this is a supplier that also supplies parts to other aircraft manufacturers. Spirit has been headed downhill for a while and is pushing problems down the line for Boeing mechanics to find.
@@timkono5645 hardly so . Boeing has problems over the place . I don't think Spirit is the only one to be blamed here
@@user-nu1sq2fz8s I'm not absolving Boeing in any way. Pushing issues downstream is something that suppliers do all the time when they are pushed to make schedule.
ANYONE who has ever spent 1 minute in corporate America knows this GUY is NOT lying!
Keep him safe!
Wonder how long til he is "gone?"
Vro, he's already gone.
Probably the government is spying on him, looking for something to charge him with, or trying to make a agreement like money but that's unlikely
Rest In Peace bro.
Not funny but honestly , prayers for him 😂😂😂😂😂 I hope he is not #3
@@tinkwilliams2354he is dead now
@@tinkwilliams2354 Kinda fckd that we openly joke about this.... Everyone knows
God, keep this man safe!🙏
What about the other 2 who mysteriously died?
*Assassinated
unfortunately they will be forgotten in a couple of month eventually.
Name them!
They have to have started some type of investigation on their untimely deaths.
Protect this man
PROTECT THIS MAN AT ALL COST!!
there is already enough evidence out there to convict them... then again... Boeing is probably trying to cover up something MUCH larger.... this dude is gone... if he makes a few weeks.. he will be lucky.
Good luck. So far, the odds are HIGHLY against. And why? Simple. The big B boys have coin, connections, crews, clout, computer code, control, corrupt cronies, and shady opportunities. But whistleblowers basically have NOTHING. No legit support that could hold up against that corporate arsenal. Thus... R.I.P. 🔥☠️🔥
Smart man for quitting and leaving. And THEN going to the media.
IF ITS BOEING IM NOT GOING
If it's Boeing, they're not breathing.
AF Vet who lives the core values. Integrity first. Service before self. Excellence in all we do.
He we go again!!! Boeing is out for blood! Get this man protection!!
Next on CBS Evening News: The Whistleblower from Boeing supplier who reported on how he was pressured to ignore defects during inspections, has been found dead due to an apparent self-inflected wound.
Sadly had an unexpected heart attack despite being in excellent health.
Naw homie they have to change it up, my odds are gas leak in his home!
Boeing should hire that guy and put him in charge of all spirit delivery inspection and it would give them a big bump to their horrible credibility.
Precisely. Boeing putting him in a leadership role would single handedly restore tremendous credibility to their org.
Boeing: "We would, but unfortunately we already know that he will "unexpectedly" commit suicide within the next couple of weeks"
I'm pretty sure Boeing has other ideas for this guy.
Boeing regrets to inform you they tried to contact him but he accidentally fell upwards out of a window into a gun.
@@streetracingmiscreant8589 So you're the one who forgot to put the panel in correctly
All the brave workers who have come forward to try to keep us safe ❤
Lord have mercy
Someone has been causing whistleblowers to leave early
Nothing to see there
🤬🇺🇸
It's Boeing themselves, duh!
It would be nice if you conspiratorial types would show the receipts instead of doing this 🐔 💩 drop and run act.
This revelation came after John Barnett reportedly died by sew a side few days after testifying against Boeing, while Joshua Dean was declared dead due to a sudden illness. In April 2023, he was fired from Spirit AeroSystems and later claimed that “if you are too loud, [Boeing] will silence you.”
Get this man protected
Witness protection before he's gone!
Dear Boeing: We (clients) are watching and also going out of our way to avoid flying you.
Keep this man. And your 10 other whistleblowers alive.
He better watch his back before something happens
RIP in advance. 😢
Giving the whistleblower an early Rest In Peace.
🤣🤣😝🤪
"Died to mysterious circumstances"
😂 I'm done with RUclips
If only we could do that to bored souls who push conspiracy theories behind anonymous usernames, but never provide a clue of evidence to prove their fantastic tales have some truth.

Dead passengers are the cost of doing business?
lawyers and bean counters figure out the cost and it is cheaper to fly the plane, this is how the pinto survived so long at ford, they did a study, the costs of settlements and such were less than profits on the cars
You're surprised? You think corporations give a damn about us as customers, employees or humans?
It’s been that way since the 50s and 60s. A lot of planes have gone down over the last 50-60 years
@@robertsudano4304 i dont think it has been as blatent as the max incident, when the first one went down i knew what was wrong, and it was money, they moved the engines to get better fuel economy (profits) and the plane was unstable at low speed so they added a sensor that controlled pitch and the pilots had no override or were not made aware they had one,, then the plane pitched and the pilots and the plane electronics fought each other. This happened over and over killing people until the reason was outed by people other than boeing. Even after boeing disclosed the override, planes still went down. The pilots commanded up, the plane commanded down.
@@vg23air you mean the 737 max’s deadly flaw?
Dude just committed sew a side😢
Sue who?
i think there is something larger at play here.... as there is already enough evidence to show Boeing was short-changing Safety Regulations... this man is just ASKING to end up like the last 2.
It just never stops with Boeing.
You mean the janky sheet shows keep flowin' if yer goin' with Boein'?
Yup. Expect more "training accidents" or "health concerns" or "medical mishaps" to pop up. 🙄
What could go wrong w a defective plane 😢 ☠️💀☠️💀
If it was unfounded Why did the door flew off?
Who were the inspectors and quality control?
No prizes here to guess who's the next dead whistleblower...
Watch him closely and give him personal protection. Would be a shame if he too came up missing or dead. Brave people coming forward
Boeing had a program called FOD (foreign object damage or defect)
What happened?
It was always a big deal at the time I was aware of the program and progress!
Highly vigilant in Long Beach, CA
So now I ask what happened?
He is brave. The other two are……….
Victims
Non-Union Jobs, Outsourcing…
Plain old capitalism. It's evil. Always has been.
Save this man!
Lawd protect this whistleblower
This interview better come with WitSec agents in the wings!
Boeing's spokeperson: We are completely committed to blah, blah, blah...blah, blah.
He’s days are number the B will never forget
Better get him bodyguards 24/7
May he rest in peace 🙏.
Greed is good...the bottom line is always our priority.
OMG! This is horrible. How scary!
Name an employer who doesn't do this, in any industry. Adults have founded their society on a string of lies.
Protective custody! Please. Please I am about to cry I am so afraid for this man. Please PLEASE!
Its funny that when they hit the ground they don't go "boieng" they go "BOOM"
I hope he watches everything he eats and drinks because they’re coming for him next
sadly this whistleblower passed away next week 🙏
"Boeing - Proudly all Spirit AeroSystems"
RIP.
Put this guy in witness protection...
Rip 😢
He better watch his back so he doesn’t get Boeinged
If it’s Boeing I ain’t going
If its a Boeing i ain't flying !!!
RIP to the whistleblower
"What's Boeing doing about this?"
Gee, I don't know... maybe settin up another whistleblower hit?
Probably
He's still alive?
RIP
He needs protection, he’s going to get clintoned
Spirit also does work for Airbus. Did that just happen for Boeing planes, or both?
What a shame. I worked at Boeing back in 1983 in the Bank Service Division and it was a wonderful experience. I may have been delusional about the aircraft production but at some point they started placing profits ahead of quality and safety. It will be very hard for them to recover from this.
RIP in advance to this dude
BOEING is ultimately responsible for its products. Suppliers should be held accountable for their defective products. Otherwise, bring back all the work under the Boeing production.
I’m surprised CBS is showing some truth
GOOD against Evil
r.i.p. my bro
It was nice knowing him :(
Rest in peace bro
What does that even mean kid. Reting is sposed to be peaceful, otherwise its not considered resting.
RIP #3
This new whistleblower will somehow drown in one of those home depot orange bucket.
Hope he enjoyed life.
Oh, my Jesus! This man will not be around for much longer. Rest In Peace in advance.
RIP Santiago.. we appreciate your sacrifice to speak out! 🫡
Boeings hitmen are going to have a busy year.
Yep. Sam Salephour is next
Let’s hope he doesn’t mysteriously die.
Well, yeah, I'm sure _every_ model designed by Boeing is safe, *when they assemble it correctly.*
Never fly Boeing.
Hope he has a couple bodyguards.
They see two whistleblowers got killed for being whistleblowers yet they keep labeling them that on the titles. Way to keep the witness protected
R.I.P
Yikes man. Yikes
Made in America!
Right now, in a bar in Seattle, two men are having a meeting. One man, who works for a major aerospace company, is discussing with the other on the amount of financial incentive it will take for a concerned whistleblower to turn himself suicidal, days before any major hearing or inquiry of course
Pigs are using him as bait to catch the ones responsible for the other deaths.
Shouldn’t such a good paying job be reserved for an American
Boeing needs to pay big
Stay safe from Boeing's Hit Squad.
After this interview, Boeing will make sure he gets a 21 gun salute.
He better get some security before he’s the 3rd dead whistleblower
im going to a flight school college and im making sure by the time i get to ATP level (the tier for commercial airliners), i train and fly Airbus or Embraer
Playing with people's lives. What a disaster! I bet the whistleblower will not be targeted for speaking the truth.
I want to know who is going to prison for this gross negligence. I hope it’s not just senior executives. I’m sure there are many middle-managers and supervisors that need jail time as well (like this guy’s boss). I don’t care what level of seniority you have in the company; if you collude and participate, you are an accomplice. History shows that “I was just following orders” is not an acceptable excuse.
If this guy ends up assuming room temperature any time soon, then you know without question that the fix is in at Boeing and its suppliers.
Profits over responsibility!
This guy's life is in danger. Protect him at all costs!!!
So sad this is the world we live in. No one cares about quality control anymore. No one wants to be responsible for anything anymore. This is terrifying. The lives responsible must mean something to someone.
Unfortunately, they do not. Basically, existence on this planet is all about who is wealthy and who isn't. Because that leads to who is ALIVE and who will soon be UNalived. No exceptions. Wealth is health; might is right.
oh no
They can't do it a 3rd time, right? 1 is a tragedy 2 is fishy but 3 is just too obvious
