The Maple Leafs Pack Has Just Hit The store 🍁 therthcompany.com/collections/all What is Bedard's potential? And do you think Shane Wright becomes a top line player?
I'm happy to get to see Misa here in Michigan and he's gotten on more of a role recently. Plus, we have to remember that he's still two years away from being drafted. He should continue to develop.
Unreal that in this company Misa putting up 19 points in 16 games is a "slow start." Banger video as always, Rob. Loving seeing your 'Nucks flying this year, as is my dad the biggest Canucks fan in Alberta.
What nobody talks about when it comes to Bedard... the Blackhawks do NOT have any forwards that would be top 6 in a playoff contending team. Crosby had Malkin. McDavid had Nugent-Hopkins and Eberle. Bedard is playing with essentially 3rd and 4th liners. Once this kid gets a few Bonifide top 3 and Top 6 forwards around him, he'll be putting up McDavid like numbers
As a hawks fan who prayed for the last few years to get Bedard, I couldn’t be happier. Would love to see Shane Wright really progress too, love the Kraken so far and thinks he could be a sick along with Beniers over in Seattle
If he's not good enough to play in the league, he doesn't deserve a passing grade! eventually, if he improves, he can earn his C... but now. he is a fucking failure! the biggest (shortest) most pathetic failure in NHL history.
Idk. Think hell get to the league n be a good back end guy for depth and flashes of next level play at times but dont see him becoming solid 1st liner. Soemthin bout him jus never seemed like “it”. Cant pin why but he jus dont seem to have that dog in him.

I'm pretty sure Corey Perry was the first exceptional status player. Before the official adoption of the "exceptional status" rule players were allowed to play for their hometown team if deemed good enough. I think Perry was the player who played a couple games but I can't find anything on it.
The CHL is way better than college leagues, my local team, the London Knights, feels like a mini-NHL, that's how they market themselves too. They have a massive (For the Juniors) 9,000 seat stadium that they sell out nearly every night, they have a history of flashy, dynamic players that get drafted high, then make a huge impact. John Tavares, Nazem Kadri, Darryl Sittler, Mitch Marner, Matthew Tkachuk, Corey Perry, Patrick Cane, Rick Nash and Max Domi, even the current roster has a bunch of dynamic and fun players like Easton Cowan, Denver Barkey, Jackson Edward, Ruslan Gazizov and Kasper Haultunan. A very very successful franchise with diehard fans that love the team. Businesses that sponsor the team will have a sticker on their door saying they're a proud partner and will often have deals and sales when the Knights score, everything about the team screams professional and well run. Only down side is they don't have a real goal horn, it's a recording that plays through the sound system, it's a recording of Boston's horn and their goal song is the same as Chicago's
People don't understand man they dont. That 2000/2010'/ era THE RIVAVLRY of London and Kitchener was so hard man it felt stronger than ANY NHL team rivalry, fans throwin shit at each other police coming to every game it was so wild it was like a EURO FOOTBALL game. I miss that Rivalry being so strong
@@skreeskreeskree It's STILL goes hard! Plus our rivalry with Sarnia and Windsor! Though luckily the blood stays on the ice and not the stands. The only issue we have is that our dynamic star players can be... too creative... Easton making flash dekes and moves till he eventually falls on his ass or gets a poke check from the defender he's deking, or, tries to pass to another player that only goes to the stick of the opposing player. I still love Easton Cowan's play, but he's had a rough few games. Plus we still haven't won against an american team this season, both at home and on the road

While the whole exceptional status thing wasnt a thing in the 70s, Gretzky basically went that route as well.. I think he could have deserved a mention here at least
Regarding Misa being slated to go 1st in 2025, Corey Pronman from The Athletic recently (last week) put out a "way too early prospect rankings" and had Misa at 6th. I know they're not the be-all and end-all, but if he's not doing great this year and they already have him that low there's a decent chance he doesn't go first. Article title is "2025 NHL Draft top prospects: A way-too-early ranking of James Hagens, Porter Martone and more" (I'll reply to this with a link to the pay-walled article, just not sure if posts with links get auto-deleted) 1. James Hagens 2. Porter Martone 3. Roger McQueen 4. Logan Hensler 5. Matthew Schaefer 6. Michael Misa - "Misa has been very good in the OHL since being named an exceptional status player. As a prospect, his talent level is closer to that of Shane Wright than the very best exceptional-status players, though. Misa is a very strong skater and puck handler who can project to create at an NHL pace and be an asset offensively. He competes well enough and has good playmaking instincts. There is a lack of a wow factor in his game, even though there are a lot of positives."
Misa's very Similar to Shane Wright. Always played up with the older kids and dominated, but he wasn't head and shoulders above everyone else like McDavid, Crosby or even Tavares. At this point it's highly unlikely he goes first overall ahead of James Hagens, who looks to have a much higher ceiling. Although 2nd is not out of the equation still and I'd be shocked if he falls out of the Top 5-7
I'm curious if michkov will be on one of these. That's even if Russian Bedardsky ever makes it to Philly. I don't he'll step on American ice at all. I have a strong feeling that he won't make it out of Russia and once again the Flyers will have wasted a pick. I hope I'm wrong. I guess we'll see in a couple of years. I'm loving Bedard..kinda over hearing about him nonstop. We all know his story more than he does
Being in Philly I'm pretty unfortunate that I can't really watch an oilers game unless they're playing the Flyers. So I haven't been able to really watch and focus on McDavid aside from highlights. Kinda sucks. Also...wtf is day?
