Possibly my favourite Liege presentation so far?! I liked the way you showed the quality of the books, rather than just focussing on the miniatures, lovely as they are? I am a painter and so had backed the all in, as a late pledge, as I really wanted to paint it all. It wasn't the delay to completion that led me to cancel as I have been crowdfunding for a while and so expect that. It was the delay in taking my money. If they had charged my card when I pledged, I would have been waiting for it now. After about a year I decided to cancel as I was going to struggle to find about £400 at short notice. Looks good, although I probably wouldn't go for all of it in retrospect. I will maybe pick up the core box in the future? Excellent presentation Chris.

Hey Liege, maybe try your hand at painting them! I just got into painting and my first mini is the starter dragon in Primal. Its not too difficult, just takes patience. It really brings it to life. Im almost done with it, maybe ill find a way to showcase it as well. I reccomend it too! You could maybe make a video about the process! We'd all definitely enjoy it.
This is one that I intended to late back but due to life getting busy missed the pledge manager deadline... I'm sure there will be a reprint /2.0 version just around the corner though. Curious to see how the non paid for reviews play out....
I read the PDF and thought they did a pretty good job with the rule book. At first it seems daunting because of the page count, but half the book is component guide + set up for one shot scenarios. So really only half the book goes over the rules
Through the half dozen bosses I've fought they do all play pretty different, as do the heroes. There is a lot of keywords, so far its required taking it slow and ensuring nothing gets missed but been having a blast. I would say the extra heroes is the "must have" expansion before any addition monsters from a game play perspective, but for the most part the only one I'm tepid on is the 3d terrain as unpainted its worse than the cardboard. The models are ridiculous.
Judging by the knife you are using, I can tell you are a prepper. Your boardgame collection is competing for space with the dried beans, rice, and mre's. Lol, just kidding. I'm regretting not backing Primal and not getting this honking, chonky box. The amount of grief I would get for it would be worth it.

Tbh this is probably in my running for best rulebook of 2024 by a long way. Most rulesbooks are useless. This one is pretty close to perfect.

It took me about 12 hours to sleeve the main cards from the core box.
Getting wave 2 finally delivered this week along Foundations of Rome 2nd printing. Time to star culling - these KS deliveries are huge.
