I do think it's weird when people go out of their way to say "We need your opinion on everything or you're a fake dude". No, we don't NEED his opinions on anything, that feels parasocial.
They don't like people being squeaky clean, they need dirt on him. It feels weird.
Granted, the Rock is not perfect, but the things they are talking about don't feel like anything worth cancelling him over, it just looks like he stopped being followed by social media vultures. I don't see anything outrageously illegal, it just sounds like drama for the sake of. Lol

Never get popular or "big" in any industry. Everyone will try to pull you back down into the mire so you can be miserable with them. Everything pointed out in this video can be explained away and doesn't necessarily make him a bad person. No one is perfect. If people can't find dirt they will make it up or fixate on what little they can find. I say enjoy his movies, let him do his thing and be supportive until he actually does something worth hating a man for.
His movies aren't selling, so he had to go back to wrestling as a WWE board member and part-time wrestler.

im going to say a few about these guy like joe and greg(they dont have the money to do damage control like dwayne does, this guy has pr right at the finger tips) as far as the movie banters are concerned, yes they are not selling(they are barely making anything back however, lets look at the last 7 movies hes been in: majority of them are cgi, people are burnt out at looking at them plus hes getting type casted for each of these roles, no excuse for the flops but they need to fix the cgi,stunt and payments on the budgets, and drop a few collab sponsors in order to relief the blot end of discussion)
as far of dawyne lying about his caloric intake, thats not truth(look at that mans genetics alone no freaking doubt can he do 6,000-8,000 in calories a dad, especially if you eating oils and veggies on top of the fats. these other meatheads unlike him arent drinking water not the amount they claim to be drinking. of course dwayne is drinking alcohol those are his personal favorites and the sponsors are paying him for it(just like every single retired or upcoming athelete on social media. little known fact for those that do not know or refused to know: for every teaspoon(not tablespoon get your measurements right guys/girls) of alcohol consumed you need to drink a gallon of water and youll be dehydrated for 3 days just from one teaspoon injested....
i seriously doubt greg, drinking over 2 gallons of water a day(which for his age and size he should be, i know i do being 230lbs at 6'1) but dwayne definitely buys cases of water, im surprised he probably doesnt a basement full of those things lol..
plus also being dehydrated and working out, gets you lean and shredded( i personally dont drink the stuff but it does work for its effects)

Very interesting topic, as for the stance of answering controversial questions, as corny as it may sound I would absolutely answer with 100% honesty. The only one who can make me lose it all is myself behavior, losing numbers, losing fans is just life, people come and go. Sure, the fans gave you a platform but it was God who put me on the stage to begin with.
you can blame him for some things but actors are contractually obligated to promote and be positive about the studios that allow them movie roles, or companies that expect them to promote their products. its not entirely him doing it. all actors put their public reputations on the line when theyre saying what a movie studio or corporation pays them to say

As a wrestling fan, the story of The Rock returning taking Cody's spot was bad. It came out that The Rock and other higher ups made the decision because of the upcoming netflix move with WWE. They pivoted perfectly telling the story of cody winning. Making The Rock the bad guy was some of the most interesting stories in wrestling in a long time.
He was always my favorite. But ... when he sided with Oprah.... my heart broke... still like his movies, but very disappointed in him as a person. 🥺
Once he got into the money, he was no longer the same man. He went from being an inspiration, a man to look up to and strive to be like. After he became the huge movie star, that all changed. I was so angry about the Maui situation and the way that it was handled, because I had family that lost everything. Sure, $5 mil is a lot of money but when your net worth is well over $500 mil, you have the money to do more than just a small donation. Each time he backtracks and tries to fix his mistake, I just imagine his PR people adding another sticky note to the wall of shame.

Honestly if people are freaking out and getting offended by some of this stuff, you need to find better problems in your life, or enjoy your life as it must be quite comfortable. His is promoting stuff which he has to do per order of his contracts, is it weird that he has been asked to promote the same stuff with the same lines? Ya but hey thats the people who holds it contracts fault. The man is a good guy who works hard, loves his family, interacts a lot with his fans, and is always friendly when you meet him, and also donates a lot to charities. So okay a few mistakes here and there but this is small time compared to what the big corporations lie about or chosses to promote. As for politics, its his right to not answer anything political if he doesnt want too, and honestly, can you blame him? Look at all the other celebrities who has taken political sides they get hate mail and threats everyday by people who used to be their fans. And whatever his political views may be, hey again ITS HIS RIGHT!! He can have whatever opinions and i may disagree or agree with him, its a little skill called. Seperating the opinions from the mans work. I do the same with Dave Mustaine, i love Megadeth, and i love admire Dave Mustaines guitar skills, but when it comes to some of his political opinions, YIKES!!!!! but hey i can easily seperate those two apart and enjoy one, and just shrugg my shoulders and laugh at the other.

As far as him controlling every topic and walking on egg shells i think psychologically it goes back to wrestling and being a locker room politician .....dont go againts the grain adopt the popular opinion and ull be fine be politically correct at all times

Oh man, I know you’re not a wrestling fan. But I could tell you when Cody subbed himself out for the rock, everybody was PISSED. Including me. So then came the backlash and change and get back.
He's an overrated [actor] that i never much cared for, so meh..🙄
