Kicking off the New Year with this classic French tune! Honestly not sure if French people love or hate this song?..but we can all agree that Paris is the most magical this time of year. Feeling very nostalgic about it today. Une très BONNE ANNEE à vous tous!!! ❤️🎉🍾
✨🍾🎶👍
Yes, chanson éternelle ! happy New Year !!
Très bon choix ;) Encore, encore, encore :) Love it

Très bon choix. Merci et bonne année.

Exactly what I thought after watching this! Would love to see her sing La Vie En Rose.

Sing-along Lyrics (with English translation!):
Aux Champs-Elysées, aux Champs-Elysées
At the Champs- Élysées, at the Champs- Élysées
Au soleil, sous la pluie,
In the sun, under the rain
à midi ou à minuit
At noon or at midnight
There is everything you want at the Champs- Élysées
Je m'baladais sur l'avenue
I have walked along the avenue
Le cœur ouvert à l'inconnu
The heart open to the unknown
J'avais envie de dire bonjour
I wished to say: good morning
à n'importe qui
To no matter whom
N'importe qui et ce fut toi
No matter who you were
Je t'ai dit n'importe quoi
I told you no matter what
Il suffisait de te parler,
It was enough talking to you
pour t'apprivoiser
For taming you.
Aux Champs-Elysées, aux Champs-Elysées
At the Champs- Élysées, at the Champs- Élysées
Au soleil, sous la pluie,
In the sun, under the rain
à midi ou à minuit
At noon or at midnight
There is everything you want at the Champs- Élysées
Tu m'as dit "J'ai rendez-vous
You told me: "I have a date
In a quarter of an hour with crazy people
Qui vivent la guitare à la main,
Who live with guitar in hand
du soir au matin"
From evening to morning"
Alors je t'ai accompagnée,
So, I accompanied you
on a chanté, on a dansé
We sang, we danced
Et l'on n'a même pas pensé
And we didn't even think
à s'embrasser
About kissing.
Aux Champs-Elysées, aux Champs-Elysées
At the Champs- Élysées
Au soleil, sous la pluie
In the sun, under the rain
à midi ou à minuit
At noon or at midnight
Il y a tout ce que vous voulez
There is everything you want
aux Champs-Elysées

Rip when I want to sing it but I’m terrible at the pronunciation 💔👍

When Nataly sings in French my heart just melts. How do I get a collection of your French only songs to send to my Mother who is suffering from Alzheimer's? She would so much enjoy these tunes.
Maybe just make a playlist in Spotify?
Your mom might like these: ruclips.net/video/uMyEkxHT4YU/видео.html She's English Canadian but has at least one record of all French material, maybe two.

I don't know French at all, but I wanna learn French after I finished listening this. I think it's so festive, lively, lovely song with French lyrics.
its fun to yell at people in French in coffee shops too

It's a real challenge. German is a much easier option if it's your second language. Plus it's a good basis for swedish, danish, Norwegian etc. French is... Very unphonetic. Took me four years to get as far as I got in two years of German.

Totally agree with you, i played it over and over again!
I could listen to Nataly singing French for all time and never get bored of it.
I don't know if you already sing them, but here are some great french songs: "Il est cinq heures, Paris s'éveille", (Jacques Dutronc), "L'anamour" (Françoise Hardy/Serge Gainsbourg) or "En relisant ta lettre" (Serge Gainsbourg). Sweet kisses from Switzerland!

She actually said "Tu m'as dit 'j'ai rendez-vous dans un quart d'heure avec des fous...'" instead of "dans un sous-sol". Sounded weird but I guess it works too.
I was eagerly waiting for the third (and best) verse though I can't say I'm disappointed; this was grandiose (as usual)!

An American singing a French song with the correct accent!
Joe Dassin was american
@@invest48 Yes I know. Joe Dassin was born in Brooklyn, New York, USA. But he sang all French songs. Even Nataly Dawn.
No wonder she speaks French like a Parisian. An internet search reveals she spent her childhood in Europe and attended schools in France and Belgium before she returned to the United States to study art and French literature

Greetings froma Vietnamese living in Uzbekistan. I enjoy this song so much and keep listening again and again. My daughter studies at French school, speaks fluently French said your French is perfect and sounds like native. Wonderful work. Thank you
I always get so mesmerized by french language, its just so beautiful.
My wife and I absolutely LOVED the show in DC last weekend! Hands down the best concert we've ever been to. So glad you were able to make it out to the East coast. Incredible show! So much fun!
BTW I’m still waiting for that french album
On its wayyyyyy....
I’m Vietnamese and i love this song so much. Its melody keeps replaying in my head
My mother is a French teacher in the States, and im a student who is slowly learning the basics. I may not be French (culturally, racially, or nationally), but I hold France and the French culture close to my heart when I can. I must be honest, in that im not very good at French right now. But one day I hope to effortlessly understand and speak the language, and visit the country whenever possible. What im trying to say is to follow your dreams- even if theyre small, big, easy, or hard- youll get over that wall. And if you look back, youll see your progress grow. Keep going, for whatever reason you have to.
Great message!! Inspiring!!! Loved it!!
This is my absolute favorite rendition of this song. ❤ everything, the musicians & the vocalist. Thank all of you for this!!
Man I love how Jack plays, His excitement is through the roof!!!
I'm listening to this as someone who doesn't speak French properly. And there are tiny, little things I am finding with this song that I think only a non-speaker would. The way most pronunciations of the alphabet come through the nose. R's peculiar pronunciation. The softness of the lyrics. I think it is very beautiful that our experiences are so different and and special at the same time.
You know what I like most about the channel? It isn’t the beardy bois or the flannel. Nor is it the the musicians as beautiful as their music. I’ll tell you the secret about why I love their music: they have genuine joy flowing from their lips and dancing from their hips and with the thrum of every drum and flim of every flam you can feel the glam of this musical jam!
(Ps kk thx 4 the music ♥️ u, pamplamoose!)
Oh my gosh this melody is so perfectly heavenly that I started tearing up as soon as I listened to it.
I don't speak a word of French and even I admit that this song is absolutely amazing.

I’m mesmerized by the bass player, respectfully.
So, I was in the car with a friend just last night, and this came on the speakers (from his wedding playlist, of all things).
I thought I recognized it, so after getting home I just looked up 'Champs Elysees song'... turns out this was the song we learned to sing in Year 5 (9-10 years old) on the school trip to Normandy from the UK. Pretty sure we drove our teachers nuts with it, but I'd completely forgotten about this song until 18-19 years later. Absolutely love this version! Have had it on repeat for nearly half a day now...
My fav french song..finally after five years I found this song..the tour driver played this song while touring the streets of Paris..I missed those days
1:30 Her gesture's so charming
I never get tire of this song no matter how many times I have listened to it. Love Nataly's voice. Having difficulty singing the verses but chorus I could sing easily. I know my secondary school French teacher would be angry with me for that. I could see him in my mind, in his bell buttom pants (it was the 80s when I was in high school) and holding a ruler in hand.
So cute and so gentle. Listening this songs and his old sound it makes my heart full of happyness. Bravissimi!
So i'm finally taking an online class for french and trying to pronounce it right. The easiest way to learn new language me for me is always through some good music. I'm so happy to finally found this channel. What a bless.
That's why I'm here too. I'm just randomly learning it for no reason
The “paraparappa” choir always makes me happy!
The band is the best. It feels like doing a variety of experimental music, but the clean performance of each song is the best.
The song traveled from Waterloo Road in England to Champs-Elysees in France, and spread throughout Belgium and the world. Nataly Dawn's life was similar to how the song spread around the world. She sang the song in a voice that sounded like a woman living in Paris, and the members followed her. And now it has moved people all over the world.
Oh la!
How about a Waterloo Road version next?
