Fun fact about metra the passenger cars were inherited by rock island Milwaulkee road and cnw and the smooth sided coaches were cnw and the others looked the same just rock island had and the coaches still have red and yellow interiors
Window config is a bit off. The left side facing forward will have 4 windows on the forward half of the coach and cab car and six on the back half. On the right it six windows all the way down the side. The space is where the bathrooms are.
I think they put in a gate in the diesel railcars doorway, so no one trips through. Including the days Metra Railcars and it's passenger cars were, there were multiple versions of them after the creation of Metra in Chicago since 1984. It started out as a red, white, and black colors in the railcars first, and there WAS EMD-F40phs there. I believe in 1990-1992, they changed up the texture to silver generation with a blue blend in its name and changed up its seating inside from red to blue. Then in today, power cords were added inside the cars. Not every car is filled with it, but it is quite common to find.
