from what I've gathered, it appears parts of both stories are canon for each troll. I think the friendship ending is canon every time, but each storyline has a mix of both paths. I would say it's confusing, but hey, it's homestuck.
Maybe due to the timeline shenanigan nature of homestuck, these routes are all just snippets of different timelines, and that one was one where the break in happened, and therefore every combination of endings is kinda canon? I dunno lmao.

I'm actually amused that you mentioned Kingdom Hearts, particularly 358/2 days, as I was not too long ago thinking about how the members of Organization XIII would THRIVE on Alternia
Since you're just getting into it, I won't give away too many spoilers about who does what, but basically, within Organization XIII, there's double-crossing, orders to kill off members who get in the way of other members... So not too far off from the sort of violence expected from Alternian Trolls, except these characters have DISNEY in their DNA. Granted, you never see the sort of bloodshed you see in Hiveswap and Homestuck, but I think the point still stands. Here's to hoping you enjoy Kingdom Hearts!
I don't think Remele wants to use the players blood like Amisia does. I think Remele wants the player to help her kill people and or commit crimes with her. They're her "muse" because they inspired her first (and probably not the last) murder.
I thought it was really interesting that only way to break into the Purple blood's apartment is by FAILING Polypa's friendship. Polypa's friendship can only be gained by NOT going into the apartment because when you go there, she ends up leaving you, while bleeding, in a cross section in the road. This might mean that the some of the failure endings are canon??
