    I realize I need one now I've seen it in action so much safer than table saw for straight cutting warped boards much faster than using the jointer as well. Beautiful work.

    Dear Mirock,
    Surely you meant by 900 mm & not 90mm. As for your table saw as it currently stands; it's a highly original design that truly merits the title of built by "Master Inventor". It's most unusual to reverse the order in which traditional table saws work but clearly you saw something that most of us miss & you've succeeded in exploiting to it's full effect. I feel kind of relieved that you've not been hired by the department of defense, I can only imagine the jaws of seenior officals dropping as you unveil your latest creation. It would more than just turn heads that's for sure. Very well done. Kind regards. P.S: Now do you think you could make something for Honourable wife that would get her talking to all the neighbours for weeks on end???

    Love your uploads and really liked the idea of a portable precision saw, however haven't you just made an upside down, non portable track saw? Strikes me that straightening that edge, and cross cutting the end, would have been easier and probably quicker with the track on top of the board, as the track saw was designed...
    This looks great for very accurate small parts, but for big parts/boards it just seems a bit pointless? With a long track you can straighten an edge over twice as long as that board.
    Love the engineering none the less.

    • @WobblycogsUk
      @WobblycogsUk 5 лет назад

      Agreed, my first thought when I saw it was I've got to have one and then I realised I already do exactly that operation with a regular track on top of the board. I think this would probably be slightly faster for setting up a parallel cut (once the right hand fence is in) but you'd be talking seconds faster and this design limits the saws cut length. Like all Mirock's projects the engineering is great but I can't help feeling this problem is solved.

    • @mirockswoodshop
      @mirockswoodshop  5 лет назад

      Yes Joel, but here is functional of upsided down track saw but not only. It is not main goal but just additional profit from decision of attaching to the worktable. More advantages will be obvious when big protractor fence will be mounted.
