Song written and composed by Michael Jackson Produced by Michael and his brothers This song is actually a The Jacksons song from the brothers 1980 album Triumph
Naw brotha this is PUUURE Michael JACKSON Genius ALONE right here!!! He wrote, composed, arranged and produced the track!!! He "performed" it with them during the victory tour bt it's all his baby!!!
Why would I do that when a very few to NONE had a hand in it's creative process!!! Marlon, Randy, Jackie doesn't GET credit. Why??? BECAUSE THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!! even Tito or Latoya just because they played the guitar or sang background ONLY for sound effect at the end!!! It's a PURE MICHAEL JACKSON TRACK!!! No need to take anything from ANYONE if they ever hardly had anything to do with it or NOTHING to do with it!!! Just because it went on the album doesn't make it a "Jacksons" track, maybe a title!!! Give me a break!!!
On Michael's fitness, in his autobiography, Michael said that when he would weigh himself before and after a show, he would lose between 7 - 10 pounds of water weight every night.
I am waiting for every 4 days to see your reaction of Michael Jackson. You MUST do more of Michael's live performances. Highly recommended- Grammy 1988 Motown 25 MTV 1995
@@tc5837 Dude have you heard the TRACK itself??? That's MICHAEL'S Name written all over that bad boy!!! Except for the instrumental, bt that's ok, he's the King regardless!!!
Eric Smith yep. I have heard it a dozens of times. It is heavily Michael because it is written and composed by him. I was just saying it is a song first sung and performed by him and his brothers. It’s one of my favorites. Great stuff. Take care.
This was his first tour away from his Brothers, and it has a lot of songs from the Jacksons later tours because, due to them staying mostly domestic when touring after leaving Motown, Michael felt a lot of his international fans need to hear these songs live as well. That's why the first leg of the Bad Tour (this tour) is basically the Victory Tour +.
This is one of my faves, but I haven't seen this performance. It's a little faster tempo than the studio version. Please check out "CAN YOU FEEL IT" by the Jacksons.
Another Part of Me Jack! You can do the official video, it’s a live performance. Anyway I’m here for any reaction to Michael’s music or videos because I LOVE them.
@@JackReacts904 I would love if you reacted to an early live Jackson 5 performance of Who's Loving You (you'll see Michael with a purple hat on lol; he was maybe 9 or 10 years old) 😁

I mean, if we're talking live Michael performances, there's a handful off the top of my head: 1983 - Motown 25th Anniversary with Michael performing Billie Jean for the first time on TV and doing the Moonwalk for the first time on TV 1987 - "Things I Do For You", Michael performing another Jacksons song that's high energy and a masterpiece 1988 - GRAMMY Awards performance of The Way You Make Me Feel and Man in the Mirror with a church choir vibe at the end 1992 - There are some rehearsals he filmed for his Dangerous Tour that are definitely top notch. He showcased his vocals on songs that didn't make the show, like "Remember The Time" and "Rock With You", if I remember correctly 1993 - American Music Awards where he performs Dangerous for the first time on TV and kills it 1993 - Soul Train Awards where he sprained his ankle and performed Remember The Time from a chair placed in the center of the stage 1995 - MTV VMAs Medley, where he did some hits, then did Dangerous, then did You Are Not Alone 1999 - Dangerous on the Michael & Friends show (there were two, one in Seoul and one in Germany) 2001 - The final televised performance of Billie Jean by Michael, on his 30th Anniversary Celebration 2001 - On the same celebration show, he performed with his brothers for the first time together since the 80s, and they did about 15 minutes of hits 2002 - Michael's last televised performance in the U.S., he did Dangerous on American Bandstand hosted by Dick Clark

I loved this reaction! this song is very funky and Michael's vocal performance is just that great! You should do more reactions of the Jackson 5/ the Jacksons era. But do you know what artist you should react to too? (if u want of course eh eh) David Bowie, he is a great artists, an icon, and his songs like "Life on Mars", "Changes", "Heroes" and "Space oddity" are true masterpieces ^-^
This song was in fact a song he did with his brothers 7 years earlier in 1980 from their album “Triumph” (1980). The group disbanded nearly 3 years prior in 1984 after the wildly successful “Victory” album and its North American tour. Michael wrote this song all by himself and contributed it the Jacksons album so he felt it necessary to add it to set list. The studio version of the song has a slower tempo but was usually sped up in live performances to match the energy of Michael’s dancing. Fun Fact: This was Michael’s first solo tour EVER! So none of his brothers were backing him up or playing any instruments. This was a whole new band he put together himself and on the second leg of this same tour Michael would take that smooth Hotel intro and put it at the beginning of “Smooth Criminal” but the song hadn’t been released as a single yet and the amazing music video hadn’t been shot or released yet. Believe it or not there weren’t that many people on stage.
This the first time he did this song w/o his brothers but this is from the “Triumph” album by “The Jackson’s”. He later used this intro for smooth criminal. During his performances the songs were typically sped up from the album version to give it that funk taste. 💯
Bro this song was on a Jacksons album called Triumph released in 1980. And the tempo on the album is slower but its still amazing!! React to Beat It Live from Bucharest 1992. Its so incredible!
The song is not that fast, they sped it up for the live performance. This is cool but I prefer the album version of this song because of the smoothness of it.
Uhhhhhh... Yokohama, probably the greatest concert captured on camera and released for the public audience, he ever did. I was 1997 in Hockenheim (Germany) on one of his History Tour-Concerts, it was genius, but after i heard what he did at the bad tour i must say i am envious. In History he did sung Hits from Thriller, Bad, Dangerous and of course History (also Blood on the Dance Floor). But only the songs we call hits. Okay, a short J5-Medley. Back in Bad days he also did sung lesser known songs from Off The Wall and some The Jacksons-Songs i absolutley love. Later songs are masterworks, but the old 70-and-early-80s-Songs were pure fun, and isnt a concert supposed to be fun? Also, he never was that energetic again. Would love to see him at this time live (but, well, i was six... at this time). You should absolutley try out one of his biggest influences, James Brown, live (Zaire, Song "Payback", 1974). There you see were MJ gets his incredible energy and power from.
Michael wrote this song for the Jacksons Triumph album in 1980. The studio version of Heartbreak Hotel is a little slower but still a banger than this amazing live performance he did much later on his first solo tour Bad around 1988. This song was also performed with his brothers on the Triumph and the historical Victory Tour in 1984.
Great reaction again! Love these MJ vids! If you want more MJ live performances: Billie Jean, Live In Bucharest '92 Billie Jean, Live At Wembley '88 Billie Jean, Live In Munich '97 Bad, Live At Wembley '88 Shake Your Body, Live In Yokohama '87 MTV VMA Performance '95 Live At Grammy's '88 Jackson 5 Medley/Billie Jean, Motown 25 This will do for now 😅
The entire concert Bad Tour, Live At Wembley is on MJ's official RUclips-channel. Def worth checking out in your own time. One of his best concerts!! Sold out Wembley 7 times within 20 minutes, I think. Attendance of 72,000 per show. So 504,000 in total. It was a world record at the time. I believe it still is

its interesting that MJ makes a reference to Elvis in this song. This song was released in 1979-80 and he starts by saying "10 years ago" meaning he visited the hotel first time in 1969-70 and there "then the man next door had told he's been here in tears for fifteen years" meaning since 1955 which was when Elvis' song was released
I always love when you react to Michael. What I like about Michael is that when he performs he really feels the music all the time. I love this quote about Mj: "Thinking is the biggest mistake a dancer could make. You have to feel " very inspiring. Can’t wait to see you’re next MJ’ lives performances reactions 🙌🏻❤️ On my opinion, you have to react to man in the mirror at the grammy’s award in 1988 this was too powerful and he gave me chills. I will also recommend you to watch: "You were there" (it’s a tribute to Sammy Davis jr.) this one is too smooth and moving at the same time. And a last recommendation is "will you be there" live performance in Bucharest in 1992 this one made me cry 😭... Anyway Jack thank you a lot ❤️
His 1988 Wembley concert was incredible! You should react to any performance from that concert because his energy and aura was on another level throughout the whole show. He was feeding off the crowd and the crowd was feed off him like I've never seen before, it's mind-blowing to watch.
I loved it when Mike did songs from the J5 and Jacksons....i forgot what year it came out..but it was in the late 70s...Gamble and Huff are outstanding producers too...Show You The Way To Go is another great song from The Jacksons too
This is a solo performance. Bad was his first solo tour. The song was written by Michael Jackson and released on the Jackson's album with his brothers in 1980. As it was more of his own song he performed this song throughout this tour. The album version is much slower but just as amazing. The production is amazing, Michael produced it with assistance from his brothers. Michael had more of a funk/disco vibe to a lot of his Jackson's albums in the 70s as this was the music and style he grew up performing in the 60s also.
The ‘87 Leg of The Bad Tour(Japan/Australia) was basically The Victory Tour(1984/Setlist-wise) while Thriller, and the first 2 singles from BAD were added to the Setlist.
Is Anybody Else out there getting getting 'Déja Vu' listening to the opening of this live stage version of 'Heartbreak Hotel'? I do, and it sounds eerily like the Opening Chant to His Sister Janet's Song 'Rhythm Nation'!
The original tempo of this song is slower. In live performances, Michael quite often would up the tempo of his songs :) Helps keeps the choreography fast and snappy.
Michaels career is very complex. A lot of people don't realise he was a solo performer from 1972 along side his duties with the Jacksons until 1984 when he officially left the band. He began to write songs by himself at around 14 years old that he couldnt release as he was under contract with Motown at the time. He later started to write with his brothers from around 1977 and began adding some solo productions to the Triumph (1980) and Destiny (1978) albums that were the template for some of his solo songs in the future. He was the main song writer and vocalist for the band from 1977 onwards when they left Motown, and then Gamble and Huff, and often co-wrote with either Jackie, or Randy, or sometimes all of them, often performing all of the background vocals on the album also. He wrote Can You Feel It with his brother Jackie that appeared on Triumph and is one of their most popular tracks. The video for the song was Michael's concept and was extremely advanced for the time with very unique special effects that still look good now. You should react to it that video.
You're so throrough in your reviews, and your appreciation for good music is apparent😊. Michael didn't tour with his brothers after the Victory tour (something you may wanna get a look at on your time, it's about 2 1/2 hrs).

I remember when Michael and his brothers sang with nsync live at Michael's 30th anniversary in 2001. It was so dope seeing them all together ❤
This is the champagne era MJ. Check out Shake Your Body Down to the Ground. And no his brothers aren't there
Love this song
I would love to see you react to al Capone by the king
I think you would love his performance from the 1988 Grammys.
OMG, know your surprise me, thank's, seeing now!
My god! I am loving your MJ videos!!!
Michael Jackson - why you wanna trip on me pleaseee
Also, it's great to see you hit 15k! Well deserved
Omg I love a Bronx take...THATS what I thought when I heard the intro
You should react to "Shake Your Body" live from Yokohama 1987. It's such an iconic performance!!!
You should react to Michael Jackson workin day and night live 1988 at wembley
You gotta watch his performance at the grammys 1987 ( he performs a great mix of the way you make me feel and man in the mirror)
I’ve grown to love your channel because you post reactions to music I like and they are interesting
React to Michael Jackson Man in the mirror live Bremen
I just can't stop loving you, Wembley 88 or Bucharest 1992
was hoping for the actual recorded song but this is cool tho... RIP King MJ
imo this is better than the original
You're so throrough in your reviews, and your appreciation for good music is apparent😊. Michael didn't tour with his brothers after the Victory tour (something you may wanna get a look at on your time, it's about 2 1/2 hrs).
Yeahhhhh! Go Michael, what a song too
1988 Grammys please, then 1995 MTV Awards
He uses this intro for the way you make me feel
*This particular concert to me was perfect. Vocally he was on point! Personally, during the BAD Tour was peak Michael*
This tune is on the Jacksons album called Triumph 1980
