That Make P:rem Essence saved my skin. Full stop. It’s amazing and actually hydrates my skin - I’ve been searching for a product like it for years. It was an immediate win for my dehydrated skin, which is now comfortable and less irritated, using it twice per day. It’s like a tall glass of water for my skin and like a sigh of relief, like my skin is finally getting what it needs.
Thanks for this video Kelly! I was listening to the video as I was doing some morning chores but I was pleasantly surprised when you pronounced 우유 (Uyu) so well! That’s the best that I’ve heard a non-Korean RUclipsr pronounce it in a beauty video :O
“I hope you’re healthy happy and safe wherever you are in the world. I love you so much. Just so you know, I watched that part four times in a row. I think we should make a meme out of that so that millions of people can hear you say that.Thank you for your good heart, your good humor, your creative intelligence, and your love. Thank you for putting that all out into the world. The world loves you back, so much.
your channel is the only place i’ve seen anyone talk about that RNW serum!!! i call it my SOS serum lmao anytime my skin is struggling, i can strip back my routine and rely on this one product to help fix breakouts, dehydration, texture etc. in just a couple of days !😍
@@yukiaditya7352I think after the Purito sunscreen scandal in 2020, many people in general don’t trust the brand anymore and haven’t been keeping up with their newest launches.
Thanks Kelly for another great video. I enjoy your content and I have made so many good choices based on your recommendations. My vitamin C of choice is BOJ vitamin C with centella. I discovered it accidentally and have enjoyed it ever since. 6 months into it and the difference is clear. I don’t hear a lot of people talk about it. Recently I heard Rob from Mad About Skin speaking highly of it! I concurred!!
Really love and appreciate your content, especially when it comes to which product to use in each season. The fact that I find moisturiser is the most trickest category of them all. I ordered the Purtio dermide relief barrier and can't wait to try it out
Barr Centella calming barrier cream. It's so buttery and silky, but it is the only cream that I've found that ACTUALLY does form a protective layer on my dry sensitive skin. It calms any redness and makes my skin feel so amazing--
My all time favorite products for my dry and very sensitive skin are the I'm from Mushroom Collagen Cream and the Axis-Y Panthenol 10 Skin Smoothing Shield Cream. Soooo happy i found them! Especially the mushroom cream deserves more attention. It's the only cream that restored by barrier after years of trying.
The I’m From Mushroom Cream was $10 during Amazon Black Friday sale. I was shocked to see it at that price. There was a few other products from Wishtrend that were under $9 all full size products
Yess, the Purito dermide moisturizer is so underrated !! The fact that it’s 100ml for less than $20 ( it’s always on sale), makes it even more mind-blowing that it doesn’t have any hype. If only more people knew about it. A little goes a long long way as well, I’ve been using mine for about 9 months, and it’s finally come to an end. I’ve been even sharing it with my brother. It’s an insanely amazing product in all aspects. I think most people in general have lost trust in Purito after the sunscreen scandal a few years ago. I’m glad I stuck with them. Their products, especially their moisturizers, are very effective, in large sizes, affordable, vegan and cruelty free. What’s not to love ?
I've been curious about MakePrem Essence!! How much deeper does it sink in, compared to the I'm From Rice Toner,? Kelly recently mentioned the Numbuzin No 1, the Stratia Hydration something something as well for deep hydration, but I'm pretty sure anyone who has seen a couple of Kelly's videos or so knows how much she loves the Make Prem ❤ Getting back on my Tretinoin, I'll definitely need something without Niacinamide handy! Love to hear what other people think! For reference, I have dry skin in the AZ Desert 🏜 I'm looking for something that sinks in deep, but doesn't dissappear in the Zero humidity here before I can dispense my next product 😂 the PKY Blue Essence & the Thank You Farmer BakuVita Essence are high enough in Glycerin, but dry sticky due to the low water content- So I like to sandwich either between two very watery Essence/ Toners. Make Prem sounds like it might be a good candidate! 🥰
Love love love this video! So tired of seeing the same products over an over again. Rnw is a must for weak barrier! I'm currently using the Purito moisturiser and loving it! I have the abib mask in my stash waiting to be tried as well 😂
some hidden gems i've recently found are the beplain mung bean cleansing oil and the miguhara cleansing foam! the cleansing foam especially i've never heard anyone talk about online, it's a similar kinda texture as the skin1004 one (that kinda shiny creamy texture?), you only need a small amount, it's good for sensitive skin and the fine foam feels soft and moisturising/non drying. the beplain oil feels nice bc it's rlly lightweight and takes off makeup effortlessly, both of those products are unscented too
@SaraChimenti Oily, acne prone. I only use this strictly in the colder months and the tiniest bit go a long way for me as my skin is oily. For my skin type, I would not use this any other time of the year because it has a slight greasy feel. I think normal and dry skin may like this year round
Hi Kelly a few current favourites that are never talked about are: Zeroid oint cream - finally a K beauty moisturiser that's rich enough for my severely dry rosacea and eczema prone skin😂. Tiam vitaB3 mist toner - I really love the B5 panthenol toner from this brand so I decided to try this product. It's a super fine mist (great component) at a really good price point ( the panthenol version is also very well priced btw). It has niacinamide with a touch of tranexamic acid and vit C. My skin isn't keen on tranexamic acid in high percentages and hates vitamin C, so it is just a touch of both. It's refreshing and I like a mist format as my first step Ultrasun spf's - these aren't talked about on social media as much as K beauty or French pharmacy spf's. It's made in the EU as it's a Swiss brand and provides longwear spf protection. I've used it for over a decade now and trust it to protect me. It doesn't feel like a serum etc, but I am happy with a lotion or cream textured spf due to very dry skin. It's not shiny btw. Best wishes x
After I found your channel few months ago, Make P:rem Essence Toner was one of the first products I bought. The simple but hydrating formula feels really good and I already bought a backup... The bottles are huge though so these two bottles will last me forever :D Another product I have tried from this video is Abib Rice and probiotics overnight mask. Sadly this one I don't like and my skin hates it. It's super sticky and the feeling doesn't go away so it was super uncomfortable to sleep. Also my combo/oily t-zone went crazy and my skin started to push so much oil from my pores.. Because of that I can't even use this as a daily moisturizer :/ I put this on my body now, for example on my legs. Also there it leaves little bit sticky feeling but it doesn't bother me there. I don't wanna throw any product away :)
Totally agree with you. Some youtubers are doing paid promotions and talking about those viral products so many times that it becomes boring to see their videos. It seems like a broken record.
Hey, Kelly!! I just wanted to say thank you for your always helpful content. I have found many gems through you. I was also kind of laughing to myself when you were describing the nature of vitamin c because that kind of sounds like my mood as of late..Haha!! Right now you enhance my stability.😆😊
I was in Korea last year and Make prem toner wasn’t available anywhere. I went to so many Olive Young before I could find it and bought all they had! 😅 Even OY sales assistant kept suggesting Dokdo toner - which I even tried in the past - but nothing compares to Make prem one! I do hope they never discontinue it! 🙏🏻❤️ I’d like to try Pyunkang yul moisturizer but there are so many flowery extracts I’m worried my sensitive, rosacea prone skin wouldn’t agree with it and it’d be a waste of money 😢
Thank you for the video! My underrated product is Isntree Yam Root Cream!!! Wow such an amazing moisturizer! Especially for this time of year! Cold and Dry air!
The make prem toner is an absolute holy grail for me (thanks to you). I haven’t found anything that comes close to it and I also have a fear of it being discontinued 😂
Mizon's all in one snail repair cream is soooo good too. If you like the eye cream, I highly recommend trying it. I grabbed it on a whim and fell absolutely in love with it and it's a great first layer of moisturizer for me to buffer my tret and active acids. My rosacea sensitive skin loves it so much I never bothered trying the cosrx one! In the summer it becomes my only moisturizer but in the winter it layers so nicely under heavier creams.
Hey Kelly ❤ great video!! Speaking of nacific, you should try their Jericho rose toner. It's sort of cloudy (some body but not full fat..). Very nice for layering with other products.
I love your bow! 🎀 I tried the RNW Ceramide Plus serum years ago on your recommendation and it's a holy grail now, it's amazing. I also just did my annual skincare restock and almost everything I bought was recommended by you and Alice In The Rabbithole. You two never lead me astray with skincare recs 😅
Hola ❤ !
Also Vegreen toner! Bought it after you recommended it and fell in love!! Both hydrating and surprisingly soothing! Also would love to hear your opinion on Farmacy honey halo for this winter🩵
Yes vegreen was almost in the video but it was getting too long! Honey halo isn't moisturizing enough for me personally and heavily perfumed. Love the packaging and magnetic top, but the product was underwhelming.
Love this video! My response/comments per product: - cleansing oil - yes, i love it for pore cleaning too. But I haven't found one that has bha, but is fragrance free, do you know of any? - mizon snail eye cream - oh yeah, I used to looooove this product. Gonna get more to use next 😊 Kelly maybe consider a this or that with the cosrx snail peptide eye cream. - nacific uyu cream toner - ooooh gonna try it! Still look for that perfect replacement for laneige cream skin. Currently loving the haruharu one, but the texture really is quite thick..... - make prem toner - you know, I just don't like the full fat water aspect of it. I want skim water! 😂 Man, I miss the keep cool and soothe toner.....that one was so hydrating I literally salivated when I first applied it, haha - purito dermide cream - oooh, gonna try this one too. Two other creams i recently am loving : Aveeno skin relief moisture repair cream - this one is lightweight and very spreadable, but actually has great occlusivity, surprisingly. Works for face and body. Pyungkangyul ultimate moisture barrier ato panthenol ceramide balm cream - this is my current fave for face! Thick cream becomes watery as you work it in. Feels like a hydration bomb, but is also occlusive and seals everything else in.
Kelly.. you are trouble for my wallet for real 😂😂 but I LOVE everything I got that that you have recommended! I love love my makeprem toner but eversince I got the Startia toner, I cannot put it down! Even when I want to reach for my makeprem or dr ceruacle! Hahaha I love them all!! Lol
That pyukang yul is my absolutely holy grail cream. I will always pay that price tag. It's such a nice well aging cream mixed with a great support system. Just 10/10 i use it year around at night. Daytime summer I opt for something lighter. I've also never had pilling with it and boy do i throw everything at it
Hello! I have the same opinion as you about this wonderful cream pyukang based on black fermented tea. It has wonderful ingredients, selected and harmoniously matched. I have been using it for three years now and will continue. And, every time I enjoy its use and its results on my mature, dry and sensitive skin. It is my morning cream while during the summer I use it as an evening cream. It is so nourishing, so moisturizing! With a small amount each time, it fully covers the needs of my skin..
Thanks for another great video! I have a question for you, whats a good winter lip treatment that yoyre fond of? Maybe something during the day and something to use at night? My lips need extra love in the winter especially since Im working outside in the elements.
I just use Aquaphor Healing Ointment on my lips day and night! If I'm wearing lip color, I might sub torriden solid in lip essence or laneige glowy lip balm on top, but if my lips are very chapped, the only thing that works is Aquaphor!
The THD version of vitamin C is NOT a diva, it doesn't easily oxidize, and it doesn't irritate your skin. Yes, it's a bit more expensive otherwise everyone would use it, but it's far from being a lot pricier. Paula's Choice has a reasonably priced product and there are others. I personally use Truth Treatments Transdermal C Serum, which is ridiculously expensive but worth it. However, just purchased the one from PC to try it out because it shouldn't be necessary to spend so much on the TT product.
Not really underrated but I have a secret I do: I mix my I’m From Rice toner with my Kikumasamune sake toner and apply it all over my body before lotion. I also have mixed the Melano CC lotion with the Numbuzin 5 toner and used those in combo with the previous. Ending is my body is bright and so soft and hydrated. I don’t need to use as thick moisturizers. I’ve never had so many people rub my skin before (and I’m 43 in two weeks). 🎉
Hey Kelly, I was watching your older video on retinol. I have the .1 cos rx cream, the .5 oil, and BOJ eye serum. Would the BOJ one be my best best to start twice a week for mininal issues?? Or is the cosrx cream kinda the same thing? Hope this is ok to ask here! Ty for your content!
My IYKYK products are the Purito B5 rebarrier, now rebranded in the Mighty Bamboo Panthenol cream (in a bigger tube), and the iUnik Betaglucan moisturiser. Mmh... chef's kiss! ❤
I didn't know Mizon did a cleansing oil, is that a new product as I have not seen that before? I loved the abib overnight mask but found that it doesn't absorb properly and get on my pillow, so I prefered the round lab and purito sleeping masks
The Mizon cleansing oil has been around for a few years now but they had horrible packaging before, I guess they thought it was a good idea to put a loose cleansing oil in a squeeze tube... 😱 The pump package came out maybe a year or so ago!
Hi and thank you!! I would like to ask you if I can use the RNW ceramide serum before azelaic acid? I saw it also contains copper peptides and was wondering if the azelaic would interfere with the peptides. Thank you again for all your content!!
I bought the new toner and peptide moisturizer on their BFS. I was curious about them. I wasn’t crazy about a couple of their products. I live vitamin c and have never heard anyone talk about their vitamin c. If I like their products that I got , I might go back for the vitamin c. Would it be too much to use a peptide serum and then use the moisturizer
Great video! How does the Nacific cream toner compare to the following products in terms of absorption, residue on the skin and texture if you know? 1. Dr. Ceuracle kombucha essence 2. Mary & May blackberry cream essence 3. Laneige skin refiner (the old version) 4. Thank you farmer rice essential toner? I’ve got combination skin leaning oily in summer and dryer in winter and I really liked 2 and 4. 3 was too much. Thank you!
Nacific is thicker than Mary and May and sounds like you wouldn't like it. Maybe look at Celimax dual barrier toner. I covered it in my cream toners for cold weather video just a few months ago.
@ I got the Celimax dual barrier toner as per your recommendation in that video! But haven’t used it yet. Currently I’m using Real Barrier extreme essence toner which is amazing. Real Barrier has got some really good products
I wouldn't recommend Dr. Althea if you're struggling with your skin barrier as it uses some fragrance extracts like lavender that may not feel good if your skin is in a vulnerable state. Purito would be a good , gentle choice!
@KellyDriscoll oh thank you so much for your reply it's very helpful for me because of social media i saw everywhere dr. althea hahaah but i think my skin is so sensitive and also acne prone so in winter can i ask which korean hydrating cleanser will be best for me , i haven't any idea about it and also i am facing my skin barrier issue ....
The Nasific Toner looks sooo perfect for my dry skin😍 But sadly the last ingredient is a fragrance - I'm afraid that it irritates my very sensitiv rosazea skin:(
Hot take 4 Dry skin: oil cleansers = drying. counterintuitive -we think dry skin +oil =great. Tried many/ failed. Research confirmed simply oil attracts oil so it combines with your skin oil & both are removed in cleansing. Good if u have oil to spare but if dry already nope. Now use micellar water and less dry skin. I rinse it off however with a cream cleanser as surfactants left on skin can be drying/ irritating
I’m a bit disappointed by RNW. I’ve sent them a number of requests for the cholesterol source in this serum and have never received a response. I need to know if it’s from animals or not, specifically derived from lanolin (sheep) which is the most common form in cosmetics. Does anyone know the answer? I have sensitive, dry, age- and chronic illness-challenged skin. The Purito Dermide cream isn’t enough for my skin, but I love the balm in the collection. The sleeping pack is good, too-simple yet effective. Byoma is a brand as a whole that is ignored, and I don’t understand why. In a recent struggle with my skin barrier, I tried some of the products and was impressed, very impressed. The mist, oil, and toner helped a lot and very quickly.
@KellyDriscoll Just wanted to say you used to recommend Ti'am Vita B5 Toner yearrrrsss ago, and I still use it to this day. It's still one of my holy grails, and my skin always loves it the most 😅😅. Do you still use it though?

The fear of the make prem essence toner getting discontinued is so real . I have no idea why it’s so underrated!

Kelly your hair is looking healthier than ever!

I love this kind of videos, I am tired of seeing same viral products. Rather there are so many gems 💎 which never get noticed
Totally agree with you. Some youtubers are doing paid promotions and talking about those viral products so many times that it becomes boring to see their videos. It seems like a broken record.
@ Exactly !!
I love the rnw serum! Has my fav both peptides and ceramides! Such an underrated product! I hope to see more from that brand
I’d like to try Pyunkang yul moisturizer but there are so many flowery extracts I’m worried my sensitive, rosacea prone skin wouldn’t agree with it and it’d be a waste of money 😢
Thank you for the video!
My underrated product is Isntree Yam Root Cream!!! Wow such an amazing moisturizer! Especially for this time of year! Cold and Dry air!
Love that line of products from Isntree!
Thanks Kelly, looking forward to trying stratia vit C and have been wanting to try RNW ceramide serum😊
Thanks to you, I finally got the Nacific Uyu Toner, it's soo nourishing, affordable and widely accessible in my country! ❤
Hey Kelly ❤ great video!! Speaking of nacific, you should try their Jericho rose toner. It's sort of cloudy (some body but not full fat..). Very nice for layering with other products.
since rice toners are now so popular, Thank You Farmer one doesn't get enough attention
I love your bow! 🎀
I tried the RNW Ceramide Plus serum years ago on your recommendation and it's a holy grail now, it's amazing.
@ ohh thank you so much!
Love this video! My response/comments per product:
- cleansing oil - yes, i love it for pore cleaning too.
😂 Man, I miss the keep cool and soothe toner.....that one was so hydrating I literally salivated when I first applied it, haha
- purito dermide cream - oooh, gonna try this one too. Two other creams i recently am loving :
Aveeno skin relief moisture repair cream - this one is lightweight and very spreadable, but actually has great occlusivity, surprisingly.
A serum that has given me very good results with my skin barrier is the Skin&Lab Barrierderm milky serum, I highly recommend it 🥰
Thanks for another great video!
@@KellyDriscoll I also love Aquaphor! So simple but it is the best thing for my lips!
I need to try the Make Prem toner ! It’s just too expensive for me compared to other toners😢
Hi Kelly, Do you prefer the Mizon cleansing oil over the Iunik Calendula cleansing oil? The latter is great at removing "skin grits" too 😊
Hi Kelly. I bought the Tima Vita B5 toner after your panthenol faves video. Between that toner and the make Make Prem, which one is more hydrating?
Great Video Kelly
Have you tried the Mixsoon Bean Cream? It’s my all time favorite for my Sahara desert dry skin!
Oh! I also picked up stratias lipid gold and facial oil during black friday. I told them you sent me 💀
I love it, thanks for the shout-out! I hope you enjoy it!
Hey Kelly,
I was watching your older video on retinol.
Is the rebranded product better ?
@@sara.m88 I haven't tried the rebranded version yet. I'm kind of hoping it has not been reformulated, tbh. Do you know if it has?
@@BarbaraT. yes, the formulation has changed not just the packaging. Not sure to what extent though
@sara.m88 Thanks for letting me know! Don't know what to expect now. It used to be one of my favourites.
@@BarbaraT. Old formula (taken from the Purito Website):
Centella Asiatica Extract, Panthenol(10%), Squalane, Butylene Glycol, Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Tromethamine, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Copper Tripeptide-1, Madecassic Acid
New formula (taken from one of the review photos):
Water, Panthenol (10%), Squalane, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract (3,497 ppm), Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Tromethamine, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hyaluronate, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Copper Tripeptide-1
I found this on a Reddit post, I hope it helps give you some insight
I’ve had great results with the numbuzin #5 serum and naturium’s vitamin c. Some vitamin c products are too irritating or leave my skin flushed
Can you please review new VT TX toning line? Thanks
Hi and thank you!! I would like to ask you if I can use the RNW ceramide serum before azelaic acid? I saw it also contains copper peptides and was wondering if the azelaic would interfere with the peptides. Thank you again for all your content!!
Yes you can use it with an Azelaic Acid product!
I hv dry skin and make prem essence toner hs become my soulmate
I had the dermide barrier cream in my iherb cart for Black Friday, but was just a bit in doubt. It sold out repeatedly 😂 never managed to buy it..
YesStyle had it on sale for only $16
@ they don’t ship to my location unfortunately
hi ! can you tell which one is better for the skin barrier issue like dr.althea 345 barrier cream or purity b5 panthenol barrier cream ?
I wouldn't recommend Dr. Althea if you're struggling with your skin barrier as it uses some fragrance extracts like lavender that may not feel good if your skin is in a vulnerable state. Purito would be a good , gentle choice!
@KellyDriscoll oh thank you so much for your reply it's very helpful for me because of social media i saw everywhere dr. althea hahaah but i think my skin is so sensitive and also acne prone so in winter can i ask which korean hydrating cleanser will be best for me , i haven't any idea about it and also i am facing my skin barrier issue ....
The Nasific Toner looks sooo perfect for my dry skin😍 But sadly the last ingredient is a fragrance - I'm afraid that it irritates my very sensitiv rosazea skin:(
Do try some Indian brands if possible.
Love from INDIA💫
I found Stratia c+c texture not appealing, unfortunately, and it creates pilling for me. Doesn't get along with my sunscreen either:-(
🐝
@KellyDriscoll Just wanted to say you used to recommend Ti'am Vita B5 Toner yearrrrsss ago, and I still use it to this day. It's still one of my holy grails, and my skin always loves it the most 😅😅. Do you still use it though?
If you like the Uyu toner, the Uyu Cream is 👌🏽 she thicc and soothing 🥰
Oh nice I'll have to look into it, thanks!
