When the school year started it seemed like she really liked me even though she was a very beautiful girl. Naturally I assumed she was playing me (she seemed way out of my league at the time) so I just iced her out, didn't want to get all attached only to get shut down. After giving it to her I find out a few days later she moved on and started dating someone I've know since 4th grade who I don't talk to ever since he started smoking. I'm a bit hurt and we don't talk for months, she breaks up with the dude like on the last 2 months before school ends. I thought about asking her out to the 8th grade dance/prom but it'd be pointless to get together when we're going to be apart at different high schools. On the last day of school I get her to sign my year book, we don't talk much after that and now it's summer break, I do miss her, but at the same time it was my fault for not being brave enough. If you're reading this long ass sad story just know that whatever it is your going through with a girl/guy someone else out there is too, and you also shouldn't be afraid to take risk because even though it might feel awkward to be rejected in that moment, it could save you many other days of regretting what you didn't do.

I didn’t realize all the replies and likes, much love people. After reading and liking ALL replies here’s a summary to answer all questions. I’m currently a freshman with a >4.5 GPA at 15 and typed this all when I was 14 (summer of that 8th grade year) I miss her as much as I hate to admit it, I still have that feeling deep down because my high school has a really good art program, if we dated chances are I could’ve convinced her to apply. Instead she’s at a more run down type of school of the school district. Emotionally, I’m a lot stronger now and learned a lot from what happened back then. I appreciate the sub even though I don’t have nothing on my account, and I literally smiled at my screen reading how some of you either related to me, are going through the same and know your not the only one, or found the courage to pursue who your interested in. To that one guy, obviously I don’t know the true meaning of love, I haven’t been alive long enough to experience something like that let alone get that attached to someone romantically, but it was the closest thing, my heart literally hurt and I know that sounds like it makes no sense so think of it like your heart pounding and having a sinking feeling in your stomach like when your nervous or was just told some very bad news, I couldn’t help it either, I’d stop it right away if I could, damn hormones. Thanks to everyone again for showing me how just a few words really can help those in need, I’m just glad those words were mine. 🤜🤛

Yeah well here's an update, so she gave me signs and stuff but I didn't take advantage. I couldn't take the torment anymore so we were both at a party and both drunk so we layed down on the bed and I asked her "why'd you curve me?" And she said "I didn't curve you, I just value our friendship more, and I don't see us that way" I said okay. She's bisexual. But she's more into girls than guys.
