Hebrews 4:16 tells us to come boldly before the throne of God and there we will find mercy and grace. 1 John 4:18 tells us that perfect love casts out fear. Jesus is that perfect love and, if we fear we have yet to fully experience that love. This is not said in judgement. All who truly follow Christ are on a lifelong journey to more fully experience the depth of His love. One thing I continually question is the sincerity of my heart. Am more concerned about the motivation behind my doing the right thing than by the times I fail and to the wrong thing. The latter is obvious. The former is very easy to deceive myself.

This was a great conversation! I’m always questioning if I’m “good enough” to make it to heaven. And I’m not. I’m a dirty sinner and there’s nothing I can ever “do” to make it into heaven. But His grace is sufficient! Amen!!! With that said, willful sin is what will do a lot of people in. You said you know having sex with your girlfriend is wrong, and therefore you take accountability for it. God forbid, if today was your last day, where would that lead you? The willful acts of sin should be avoided at all costs! If you know that by having sex with your girlfriend goes directly against what God intended, then stop putting yourselves in a position to want to be intimate. Don’t go to each other’s apartment and cuddle up on the couch. We all know how easy it is for one thing to lead to another. Wait for marriage! I think there’s no way man can die without sin. Just believe and you have to truly believe in him. And trust in him. I recently have come to terms with that I will probably die with sin. I do know that I’m not worthy of heaven. But I believe in the lord and I believe he does and will forgive us once we get home. Just trust in the lord with all your heart.
You are right, no person can die without sin. Romans 8 also assures us that, for those who belong to Christ there is no condemnation. HOWEVER, sin separates us from God. Continuing in sin presents a barrier that will stunt our relationship with the Lord. The closer we want to be to Jesus the less we will sin AND the character of Jesus will lead us to the fullest, most contented life we can have so it's best for US. The more appreciation of that we have, the less attractive sin becomes. When we sometimes give into sin and experience it's ugliness and hurt it causes we have the grace of God which is POWER that frees us from condemnation and enables us to grow away from sin and towards Him through the Lord Jesus living in our hearts.

Sure we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus' blood and not of works lest any man should boast...however we still need to be obedient to God for the completion of our salvation. We'll trip and fall and in those cases we repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness. Regarding works, we will be judged according to our works, God created us to do good works, we just can't think that any good work is good enough to cancel our sin debt, only God, the Son can.

God looks at the heart. If you are genuinely trying to repent change your ways God will help you thru his spirit but if you are indifferent towards sin and refuse to repent and continue on in your sinful path the bible says there is fiery indignation far worse punishment in hell than those who never knew Him.

The new testament is pretty clear about baptism being a choice you yourself have to make as an answer to Gods question. You also need to repent before you get baptized bc otherwise it wont really work.

I used to get stoned regularly. Over time, as I developed a relationship with Jesus and my desire to please him (and by so doing help my own life and the lives of those I love), o realised that when I was stoned I wasn't the best version of myself. That's what let me to give it up. Not because it was "wrong" but because it was holding back my relationship with Him, preventing it from being as good as it could be. Did I HAVE to give it up? No. Did I WANT to? Yes.

The thief on the cross was an anomaly. While on earth Jesus could forgive sins. Mathew 9:3. He often told people their sins were forgiven. In Acts 2: 38 repent and be babtized Everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This exactly what Jesus did. Of course he did not need to repent as he was sinless. Also, a baby does not know what repentance is. To be safe follow scripture and Jesus example.

Just a little anecdote on this. Not really answering your question but it’s good to know that we as Christians do no practice a “religion”. It’s more about having a relationship with GOD and doing what he’s intended us to do because of what he’s done for us. As far as your question goes, it is kinda answered in this video. @ExtraGeorgeJanko a few things to consider… sin doesn’t exist in heaven (Satan and a 1/3 of the angels in heaven were cast out for their sin), the Bible never says that when we leave this life and enter heaven that we surrender our free will (it’s our free will that gives us the ability to choose our way vs God’s way), so it seems like sanctification is the process that we grow through where we surrender our free will to God and stop sinning… preparing us for heaven… and living a life where sin is normalized doesn’t seem to be preparing for life in eternity.

He does, and it's good to see. I hope, over time, what seems to be a fear and anxiety of judgement, reduces. Hebrews 4:16 tells us to come boldly before the throne of God and there we will find mercy and grace. 1 John 4:18 tells us that perfect love casts out fear. Jesus is that perfect love and, if we fear we have yet to fully experience that love. This is not said in judgement. All who truly follow Christ are on a lifelong journey to more fully experience the depth of His love.
One thing I continually question is the sincerity of my heart. Am more concerned about the motivation behind my doing the right thing than by the times I fail and to the wrong thing. The latter is obvious. The former is very easy to deceive myself.

God forbid, if today was your last day, where would that lead you? The willful acts of sin should be avoided at all costs! If you know that by having sex with your girlfriend goes directly against what God intended, then stop putting yourselves in a position to want to be intimate. Don’t go to each other’s apartment and cuddle up on the couch. We all know how easy it is for one thing to lead to another. Wait for marriage! I think there’s no way man can die without sin. Just believe and you have to truly believe in him. And trust in him. I recently have come to terms with that I will probably die with sin. You are right, no person can die without sin. Romans 8 also assures us that, for those who belong to Christ there is no condemnation.
HOWEVER, sin separates us from God. Continuing in sin presents a barrier that will stunt our relationship with the Lord. The closer we want to be to Jesus the less we will sin AND the character of Jesus will lead us to the fullest, most contented life we can have so it's best for US. The more appreciation of that we have, the less attractive sin becomes.
When we sometimes give into sin and experience it's ugliness and hurt it causes we have the grace of God which is POWER that frees us from condemnation and enables us to grow away from sin and towards Him through the Lord Jesus living in our hearts.

Whether you have baptism or not - if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and acknowledge that you are a sinner, and that you don’t deserve salvation, but knowing he is the way the truth and the life. Then you are set free and saved by the grace of God and only it’s by his grace so that way you and I can never boast about how great we are because we’re not.
That is why he was the only solution left for us to be redeemed. Otherwise, ultimate Justice would mean for all of us to be damned. Praise the Lord, that it is in the case, since he is so gracious towards all of us.

Romans 6:1-6 teaches that baptism is participation with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. At the time of the thief on the cross, Jesus had not died yet or been resurrected so he wouldn't have needed to get baptized.

Sure we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus' blood and not of works lest any man should boast...however we still need to be obedient to God for the completion of our salvation. We'll trip and fall and in those cases we repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness. Regarding works, we will be judged according to our works, God created us to do good works, we just can't think that any good work is good enough to cancel our sin debt, only God, the Son can.

Good works are required by God because he requires obedience to his commands (Mt 6:1-21, 1 Cor 3:8, 13-15) and promises to reward us with eternal life if we obey (Mt 25:34-40, Rom 2:6-7, Gal 6:6-10, Jas 1:12). But even our obedience is impossible without God’s grace; even our good works are God’s gift (Rom 5:5, Phil 2:13). This is the real biblical plan of salvation. This is what the CC teaches today, as it has done for 2000 yrs.

I used to get stoned regularly. Over time, as I developed a relationship with Jesus and my desire to please him (and by so doing help my own life and the lives of those I love), o realised that when I was stoned I wasn't the best version of myself. That's what let me to give it up. Not because it was "wrong" but because it was holding back my relationship with Him, preventing it from being as good as it could be.
Did I HAVE to give it up? No. Did I WANT to? Yes.
It is never part of His plan for us to sin. Be ye sober minded.

The thief on the cross was an anomaly. While on earth Jesus could forgive sins. Mathew 9:3. He often told people their sins were forgiven. In Acts 2: 38 repent and be babtized Everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This exactly what Jesus did. Just a little anecdote on this. Not really answering your question but it’s good to know that we as Christians do no practice a “religion”. @ExtraGeorgeJanko a few things to consider… sin doesn’t exist in heaven (Satan and a 1/3 of the angels in heaven were cast out for their sin), the Bible never says that when we leave this life and enter heaven that we surrender our free will (it’s our free will that gives us the ability to choose our way vs God’s way), so it seems like sanctification is the process that we grow through where we surrender our free will to God and stop sinning… preparing us for heaven… and living a life where sin is normalized doesn’t seem to be preparing for life in eternity.

We all say the right things like yes Jesus died for my sins ‘s when I was not worthy it’s not because of my deeds, but because of his grace and mercy that I am saved but yet our actions show otherwise.
