Thank you John for watching and your comments. I already had the tunnel portal and added a curved section with a back to match the opening. Then the inside was painted black. …John
Thank you Ralph. I initially forgot to print the wall section with the tunnel (old age I guess) but it came out fine in the end. Some of the houses in the company town I have had for over 30 years and finally was able to use them….John
Hi Linda, Thank you very much. Just as a reminder of what I mentioned in your video, my entire layout was designed with Railmodeller software (when I was. Macintosh user)…..John
Hi JD, Yes it has changed quite a bit. I had been wanting to do this for quite a while and just finally got motivated enough to do this project. Thank you…John
Thank you Bob. I am resting for a couple of days then I’ll probably run some trains. Technically I actually did when I moved trains back into their respective staging yard sidings yesterday…..John
Hi Mark, Both Jamestown and San Angela are based on two towns on Bruce Chubb’s original HO Sunset Valley Railroad. He had large rock cliffs behind both of the towns. I was originally going to do the same but the rocks would have been up against my buildings so I opted to remove the cardboard webbing and 3D print the retaining walls that ended up on my layout. The walls actually gave me a lot more room behind the structures in both of my towns…..John
Great job on the scenery John, very well done! The tunnel definitely looks like it's much deeper.
