    I thought the rejection of his offers wasn’t about it logic, it was her trying to protect herself by keeping a wall up. Her feelings didn’t feel to her to be at risk with his family

      I think that is fair. it was a matter of protecting herself but in the line with the contract it just felt off.

    I felt a lot of the cow comments were more to do with the whole process than her size. In the same way that some women describe themselves as a cow when nursing, not to diminish what they are doing but how they are feeling

      It still felt fatphobic. I don't love that when IRL people say that.

      Fair enough, I think once you get that feeling in a book it tends to stick and definitely sucks the joy out of the story
