There are a lot of people who have regretted for travelling but when they tell their stories people hardly believe them. Sometimes listening to an advice can solve a lot of problems.

Hmmmm I'm so glad a Ghanaian living in US is telling us the truth about living in abroad. To the extent of even schooling.... Travelling abroad doesn't guarantee success but God's blessing, hardworking,luck,and humility..... I've been America for almost six years and have seen people who are: 1. Homeless 2. Unemployed 3.Bedridden 4. Hopeless etc. etc.
Conditions of failure is self. To regret coming to America is the result of ones own inability to make best the opportunities available. Are there struggles living in America?Yes… but the probability to achieve decent living is higher in America. Again, I said probability not absolute- there are many Africans in Africa outperforming many in America but on average you regret America then you’re likely to regret other places. I love my home Ghana, and I have and continue to invest there with American dollars. No regrets here even after many of my struggles.

Most Ghanaians who come in with greencards are not serious. Once they get job at Amazon, walmart etc they become complacent. One of the surest ways to get good job in the USA is education in Healthcare or IT if you have the documentation. Came here few years ago, worked for a while stared Automotive Technology at College he told me at my age what do I need school for.. funny part last two weeks I worked on his car for him and saved him $800! Let’s try and school while in this country.

The cost of education in America is too extravagant. You must be wise….. Don’t abuse the student loan system. Teach your children about the negative aspects of student loans and also encourage them to look into grants and scholarships for minorities.
It's better to go to a Soldier who has been to war before and is 39/40 for an advise, than to go an Officer who has not been through anything for advise, come and stay in Ghana and you would regret big time

Yes, we rush coming back bcos we are only given 28 days annual leave. We spend 4 days on plane. Remember, if you don't report to work right after your leave, you are likely to loose the job. And it's not easy finding a new job. Also, whilst in Ghana, a lot of bills are waiting for you; housing, car, credit etc. You will understand everything until you travel.
