Hi! Great chanel! My van will look quite similar to your regarding colors etc. I have the same witchpanel as well. Do you know what gauge the wire is on them? I see i have 15amp fuses pr outgoing line, but i was planning to run heater, fridge, lights, and waterpump etc throug the panel. How did you wire this? I am bit worried that the on some scenarioes the were several of the items is running at the same time, it will be to much for the 2 inputwires on the panel. (+ and - common cables) maybe the heater doesn`t need to have a switch as long as the remote panel is beside it. I thought maybe ut could be an ekstra shut-off posibility. Did you wire the heater directrly to the battery?
yeah so my diesel heater is routed and cabled directly to my bus bars on my electrical board. make sure to check out the electrical install for more detail on that. the only two things I’m actually running of that switch panel is the two LED light strips that are in parellel and also the main 6 x LEDs on the roof. your correct the wire gauges are too small for some other larger applicants. make sure to check the maximum Amperage draw from your applicanes. my fridge for example is wired directly to my bus bars. check the ‘making my van a home’ video for the wiring of the fridge. because the Diesel heater draws perhaps 14A on start up that is also wired directly to my bus bars. the fridge runs to the 12V bus bars. my heater runs to the main bus bars which is turn are clearly directly connected to my lithium battery. so for you. I reckon you can wire the water pump and lights to that small switch panel. and the other things to the main bus bar. the question is - do you need to isolate or turn off the applicanes? so turning my fridge off with that switch panel served me no purpose. when I’m using the fridge I’m out in the van and it needs to be on all the time. there’s no point really in me being able to turn my fridge off - especially as I can turn it off on it’s on control panel anyway. also got to make sur le you have seperate isolating switch’s on the B2B charger as the whole thing turns on when you drive other wise 🤣 I also have a solar isolator and a main isolated on my board so everything is off when I’m just driving around normally. Hope this helps.
@@richard_builds_it Thank you for the detailed answer! I will make these changes. Makes sense. Antother question. Do you remember your matress diementions? I am wondering what width i should have for the seating. I have currently made a choise to make them 50cm, so en end up with approx 50cm of legspace between the benches. Yours mauby look even wider than 50cm?
@@glennnyland7047 my bed when fully folded out is 162cm wide which is crazy and a normal King Size bed is only 152cm i think- the units are on the wide side. But i still have more than enough spcae for my legs when its in 'desk' mode.
@@richard_builds_it Thanks, I went for straight walls, so i added battons to make the walls run all the way. So i loose about 10cm i guess. My Width will be 150cm, so wide enough, And i thought i might go for 50 x 50 benches with 50cm leg space. The matress is 12cm thick so this will add up on the backrest in desk mode, so i think i need at least 50 cm with to be able to sit comfortably. Thank you for the information!
Sweet job 🔥🤙
cheers bro really appreciate it!
@@richard_builds_it I’m in the process of buying a van so I appreciate your videos for help. 👌
I put my webasto heater underneath the van and the vents in the B pillars looks really smart
decent! there are so many options I think but the heaters are just fantastic. the webasto one was a bit too pricey for me 🤣🤣
