I think that the hardener reacted further and pulled the decal because the clear coat containing the first hardener had not dried sufficiently (probably only for a day) and then I applied the clear coat diluted with a slow-drying solvent. This has happened before. I was making several kits at the same time, so I forgot about the drying time.
Wow, I love how this turned out. Terrible when you have a paint problem and have to take it all off and start again but you did amazing! Love it.
