I used to think that Marner and Nylander played a similar style of hockey, fantastic skater with great vision on the ice, never understand why one gets paid more. It's quite clear now while one has evolved to be a figure skater, the other has evolved to become an efficient all around player who shoots, makes plays and back check. I'll keep saying this too, they need to give the A to Spezza.

Andersen wasnt the issue in Toronto as you can see when a goalie plays behind a reliable defence they succeed. I know he got what he thinks hes worth and he probably is worth that but even as a fan thats not a canes fan, I seen alot of laziness in his game but thats just me. What I see on the Canes which is what I dont see on the Leafs is team effort. Players backing other players, helping eachother in all zones of the ice, forwards defence anyone really. With the Leafs its like "forwards only play offense, defence has to take care of everything else" no backchecking no nothing for the Leafs. Its very rare to see someone on that team do something....

      Well, kinda.
It looked like there is Vegas, there is Edmonton, then there is a 4-team pack (CGY, VAN, LAK, SEA), and then there are Sharks and Ducks.
Vegas isn't that good right now. Injuries.
      Edmonton is that good, though.
Flames are, well, hard to tell
      Canucks are Canucks
Kings feel like they made a step, but not a big enough step
Krakens are somewhat disappointing. I was expecting them to be better, I thought their scouting/analytics were better.
Sharks are somehow awesome. Does ditching Kane help so much?
Ducks are fine, exceeding expectations, but that can't be sustainable. Right? Maybe wrong...
So, feels like the division isn't that straightforward, but I'm not sure it's exceeding expectations.
