What I love about this moment in the fight is when Kraven yells “This will my last hunt!” And then yell “This will be your first!” He knows he is fighting a losing battle and that his entire goal. He want to fight a strong opponent that can kill him.

I loved Kraven's character here, pretty interesting how they handled him by making him a hunter seeking a worthy death purposely. I don't remember if this was done in other Spider-Man story but I liked it.

I think that they did this scene brilliantly. Venoms reaction after killing kraven is perfect. It shows that harry is still there inside, but he has minimal control over his actions.
Or it could also be interpreted as Venom being able to feel human emotions and it momentarily fucks him up. Having feelings that are alien to him will make anyone doubt their sanity

What I love about this version of Kraven is that he’s dying, but they didn’t use that to make us feel bad for the misunderstood lost soul full of regret. He wreaked havoc trying to go out with a bang, and he made sure his family would wreak havoc trying to get their inheritance. Man was evil, and they didn’t try to justify that even as he was dying. Smashing.

I hated the fact that venom 2: let there be carnage, a movie about a literal murderer that is made of both blood and symbiote, doesn't have that much gore. I'm fkn sad.
we can all agree that this probably one of the most accurate depictions of Venom we’ve ever seen. not saying he’s perfect but the fact the devs literally put so much effort into him by paying tribute to all the classic spiderman games/other forms of spiderman media. when we’re first introduced to Venom in spiderman 2 he’s referred to as just a “suit” with insane healing properties, much like in the ultimate universe where Venom was created to be a cure for cancer. near the end of the game it mostly gave me a web of shadows vibe when we had to defeat all the symbiotes nests. overall this game is 🔥🔥🔥
Harry was never bloody venom, so I would not call this accurate! If it was truly accurate, they would have used Eddie as the hosy, developed his hatred of Peter and have him bond with the ooze.

Kraven hunts everything. Kraven wanted to die hunting, and he died how he wanted to. Originally he said that this hunt was disappointing, but after the first encounter with Peter and the symbiote he began to have fun for sure. Almost got killed two times, he knew that there was still MORE to come, and after all he says "thank you"

This scene was probably my favorite scene of the entire story. I still haven’t finished the entire story but I know there won’t be another moment like this one.
I just realized that when Venom says "We were seperated because of you" that may have been harry reffering to venom leaving him because kraven killed peter
because he is dying from a disease. He is a hunter and what’s to go out like a savage and be killed by an “equal” he isn’t gonna let just anyone kill him. That’s why he’s killing all the villains. It’s a fight to the death, in which he’s hoping you win. He shows disgust and disappointment when he’s killing them 😂 This is why he goes hard and says thank you be for dying. He went out how he wanted.
Whoever makes the stories for the game should be making the next few movies, I fucking loved every moment of this game and it’s story. Showing this much gore too makes it go crazy
No, I don’t think so but I’m sure they’ll explain it, but I have a theory that Carnage will be extremely vulnerable to it. It makes sense from a story and continuity perspective. Like Cletus/The Flame has “worshipped” fire all his life and then he bonds with Carnage and then realises it hates fire so instead he makes his followers worship him and he creates a Cult of Carnage instead
Just finished this scene last night I was really expecting Peter or miles to intervene last minute again but I was honestly surprised and respected the commitment to have these two fight it out and full on venom be the one to take kraven out granting him his final wish. Also gotta love and respect the developers for actually making it gory and showing kraven getting eaten alive whereas we never saw him kill all the villains except for one
When the devs give you the option to play as Venom we need a head bite scene… loved the finishers too, he was killing those mfs LMAO, the least harmed guy there is paralyzed for life.
Man Insomniac Games absolutely nailed Kraven in the game, he was so intimidating in every scene, had an amazing presence, an unstoppable hunter, the way he took out 4 of the sinister six was insane. Jim Pirri was the perfect voice actor for Kraven. Loved the theme too, so ominous and epic. His final fight against Venom was the perfect send off for his character.
Single player games with top tier character and story like current God of War games, The last of Us and Marvel Spiderman is such a blessing. I dont even regret watching for 6 hours just to watch these cutscenes, the graphic and the visuals are getting better every year it gives us a new experience of storytelling utilizing game movies.

I knew it was coming, but it still scared the shit out of me when it happened. I’ve played a lot of gory games but seeing it in a Spider-Man game feels so wrong, so it really shocked me. This was a masterpiece of a game

He iced Scorpion,Vulture and Electro and nearly killed Peter,Miles,Li,Tombstone and Dr Connors and he really managed to piss off Venom too and made him want to kill him so bad. It's definitely the most beautiful. The scene is at night, there's great cinematography with the fire, and both Kraven and Venom are baked in the neons of Times Square.
This is exactly what Kraven wanted. Death. Death at the hands of someone who was better and stronger than him. Someone who could best the best killer in the whole world
His character is basically Gen from Street Fighter. He spent a lifetime undefeated as a ruthless assassin only to be stricken with cancer in the latter years of his life. So he decided that he wasn't going to die world miserably in a hospital bed, but die by doing what he loved: fighting.
Its amazing how Sony owns these villains and the video game versions are faitful, badass and even terrifying, but the movie versions feel like SNL parodies
I actually felt bad for kraven and understood him a bit. He wanted to go out in hellfire not slowly succumbing to his cancer. Respect to venom for making it quick
I gained so much respect for insomniac for letting venom go through with killing kraven and showing this much gore and blood. I was clapping like crazy during that scene. Also some of venom’s take downs move’s definitely killed those oscorp guards. The whole game up until this point was starting to get too cheesy with comic book tropes but this entire mission through all that out the window. Bravo Insomniac

Having tropes in a story is one thin but abusing blatant tropes with no creatively in how they are implemented in order to inorganically move the story along is another thing and was very noticeable.
I thought Spider-Man would appear last minute to save him, but as another comment here said, the Spider-Man games really have their dose of brutality like a suicide on screen in the first game, I just wasn't expecting they would actually show him eating his head like they did and showing his collar fall off with blood that was metal as hell for a Spider-Man medium.

What I like is that a _little_ bit of Harry came back right after killing Kraven, when he’s looking at his blood-covered hands…you can tell in _that_ moment he can’t believe he just killed a man.
I was really expecting Spider-Man versus Kraven boss fight but venom, took care of that for Spider-Man 🔥 and I love the addition of you actually being able to play these characters like venom, etc. Definitely the game of 2023 the game of 2024 so far but it’s also putting itself in a conversation of the greatest game of all time hands down!!! kudos to insomniac games for creating this masterpiece🔥
Usually games use camera tricks to imply more graphic violence, but on closer inspection of this cutscene and the hard to see body, yes, Kraven's head is actually gone, which is quite surprising given the Teen rating.
See insomniac knows how deeply their fans enjoy their games, so they are gonna make sure that a head isn't still on there because of someone deciding to be lazy and be like "eh, they won't notice since the camera angle won't show anything so ill just leave the head on there", and especially since they know there's players that like to inspect things in their game and judge. Shows they do their best to make the game as detailed as possible.

When you finally get to the Venom level. This Version is very intimidating and a frightening unstoppable force. I had never seen Venom look this good ever.
I'm scare how this violence because so normal and cool. It's very violent. Highly violent. Very Shocking. I'm scare about our teenagers that could face this kind of images, and find it cool or terrifying. I'm not sure we should still transmit the idea of violence in movies. of course, there's still movies showing great values, and not too violent, or without violent...But it's not enough to balance, because series and movies are more and more violent and shocking. I think that we loose so much the sense of great values, that we don't see the limits anymore. It's maybe to awake, and to realize, that maybe we don't need this violence. We exactly need the contrary. And after that...We all ask to stop violence in gaza, while our movies and series are full of highly extreme violence. It stay games and movies... But if we legitimate it too much...maybe there's a testimony of something going wrong in our society. Lack of limits, losing the values of simplicity, beautiful things. Because when we are surrounded by so many violence and lack of values everywhere...we don't give credits to virtuous things anymore. We just want cool action, gore things, and if someone show too much intellectuality, spirituality, sensibility, we don't understand it anymore, because this kind of gore thing affect deeply the purity of the world. Proof is that its not virtue and intellectuality that we applause, but what's gore, violent, chaotic. Is'nt it a big problem in our society? It's like society become sick with the illusion that this violence is purely normal. While it's not. We shouldn't transmit violence as a message for our generation, we mostly have to teach love and bienveillance, compassion, generosity, intellectuality, come back to simplicity. Our society is more and more rotten and corrupted, and the mind of people too, because many are blind about all that. I'm an hypersensible person, and i don't watch actual movies and series, to protect myself from all this violence (and many others bad values, that affect what's really beautiful in this world. Of course, i'm open that there's still a darkness in everything and in everyone (and in me too as i lived difficult situations like many ppl), but the limits are broken and excessive. And the excessive side is exactly the problem. Now to make the difference, they are forced to climb a higher level in violence and it would become worst and worst. It's like no turning back, but it's a illusion to need this gore things, because what we really need, it's peace and harmony.
This scene took me by suprise because modern Spider Man media is fucking toothless in general, see the MCU version and Disney cartoons. Insomniac needs to go into full gore territory with Wolverine, if the game doesnt let the player dismember enemies in Metal Gear Rising style then they failed at their job

Kraven hunts everything. Kraven wanted to die hunting, and he died how he wanted to. Originally he said that this hunt was disappointing, but after the first encounter with Peter and the symbiote he began to have fun for sure. Almost got killed two times, he knew that there was still MORE to come, and after all he says "thank you"
And to think the only thing in the world that could kill him was something that was not of this world.

It’s a fight to the death, in which he’s hoping you win. He shows disgust and disappointment when he’s killing them 😂 This is why he goes hard and says thank you be for dying. No, I don’t think so but I’m sure they’ll explain it, but I have a theory that Carnage will be extremely vulnerable to it. It makes sense from a story and continuity perspective. Like Cletus/The Flame has “worshipped” fire all his life and then he bonds with Carnage and then realises it hates fire so instead he makes his followers worship him and he creates a Cult of Carnage instead

Just finished this scene last night I was really expecting Peter or miles to intervene last minute again but I was honestly surprised and respected the commitment to have these two fight it out and full on venom be the one to take kraven out granting him his final wish. Also gotta love and respect the developers for actually making it gory and showing kraven getting eaten alive whereas we never saw him kill all the villains except for one
When the devs give you the option to play as Venom we need a head bite scene… loved the finishers too, he was killing those mfs LMAO, the least harmed guy there is paralyzed for life.

It was nice seeing a venom like this after the two comedy movies they released with Venom.
Man Insomniac Games absolutely nailed Kraven in the game, he was so intimidating in every scene, had an amazing presence, an unstoppable hunter, the way he took out 4 of the sinister six was insane. Jim Pirri was the perfect voice actor for Kraven. Loved the theme too, so ominous and epic. His final fight against Venom was the perfect send off for his character.
This whole section was so satisfying, just tearing into everything and everyone and finally finishing off Kraven.
the fact that no human could kill Kraven and at the end he killed by an alien is so cool.

Single player games with top tier character and story like current God of War games, The last of Us and Marvel Spiderman is such a blessing. I dont even regret watching for 6 hours just to watch these cutscenes, the graphic and the visuals are getting better every year it gives us a new experience of storytelling utilizing game movies.
Come on Insomniac, give us option to replay story missions. This Venom sequence is just perfect. I want to play that mission again and again

I knew it was coming, but it still scared the shit out of me when it happened. I’ve played a lot of gory games but seeing it in a Spider-Man game feels so wrong, so it really shocked me. This was a masterpiece of a game

I gained so much respect for insomniac for letting venom go through with killing kraven and showing this much gore and blood. I was clapping like crazy during that scene. Also some of venom’s take downs move’s definitely killed those oscorp guards. The whole game up until this point was starting to get too cheesy with comic book tropes but this entire mission through all that out the window. Bravo Insomniac

I thought Spider-Man would appear last minute to save him, but as another comment here said, the Spider-Man games really have their dose of brutality like a suicide on screen in the first game, I just wasn't expecting they would actually show him eating his head like they did and showing his collar fall off with blood that was metal as hell for a Spider-Man medium.
This really made me say “Oh shit” this was definitely shocking to see in a spiderman game, Kraven was a awesome villian and I guess he got what he wanted

This felt like the epic finale of There Will Be Blood... Didn't hold back and felt completely satisfying.
What I like is that a _little_ bit of Harry came back right after killing Kraven, when he’s looking at his blood-covered hands…you can tell in _that_ moment he can’t believe he just killed a man.

I was really expecting Spider-Man versus Kraven boss fight but venom, took care of that for Spider-Man 🔥 and I love the addition of you actually being able to play these characters like venom, etc. Definitely the game of 2023 the game of 2024 so far but it’s also putting itself in a conversation of the greatest game of all time hands down!!! kudos to insomniac games for creating this masterpiece🔥

Usually games use camera tricks to imply more graphic violence, but on closer inspection of this cutscene and the hard to see body, yes, Kraven's head is actually gone, which is quite surprising given the Teen rating.
See insomniac knows how deeply their fans enjoy their games, so they are gonna make sure that a head isn't still on there because of someone deciding to be lazy and be like "eh, they won't notice since the camera angle won't show anything so ill just leave the head on there", and especially since they know there's players that like to inspect things in their game and judge. Shows they do their best to make the game as detailed as possible.

When you finally get to the Venom level. This Version is very intimidating and a frightening unstoppable force. I had never seen Venom look this good ever.
I'm scare how this violence because so normal and cool. It's very violent. Highly violent. Very Shocking. I'm scare about our teenagers that could face this kind of images, and find it cool or terrifying. I'm not sure we should still transmit the idea of violence in movies. of course, there's still movies showing great values, and not too violent, or without violent...But it's not enough to balance, because series and movies are more and more violent and shocking. I think that we loose so much the sense of great values, that we don't see the limits anymore. It's maybe to awake, and to realize, that maybe we don't need this violence. We exactly need the contrary. And after that...We all ask to stop violence in gaza, while our movies and series are full of highly extreme violence. It stay games and movies...
But if we legitimate it too much...maybe there's a testimony of something going wrong in our society. Lack of limits, losing the values of simplicity, beautiful things. Because when we are surrounded by so many violence and lack of values everywhere...we don't give credits to virtuous things anymore. We just want cool action, gore things, and if someone show too much intellectuality, spirituality, sensibility, we don't understand it anymore, because this kind of gore thing affect deeply the purity of the world. Proof is that its not virtue and intellectuality that we applause, but what's gore, violent, chaotic. Is'nt it a big problem in our society? It's like society become sick with the illusion that this violence is purely normal.
While it's not. We shouldn't transmit violence as a message for our generation, we mostly have to teach love and bienveillance, compassion, generosity, intellectuality, come back to simplicity. Our society is more and more rotten and corrupted, and the mind of people too, because many are blind about all that.
I'm an hypersensible person, and i don't watch actual movies and series, to protect myself from all this violence (and many others bad values, that affect what's really beautiful in this world. Of course, i'm open that there's still a darkness in everything and in everyone (and in me too as i lived difficult situations like many ppl), but the limits are broken and excessive. And the excessive side is exactly the problem. Now to make the difference, they are forced to climb a higher level in violence and it would become worst and worst. It's like no turning back, but it's a illusion to need this gore things, because what we really need, it's peace and harmony.
