Arts On The Move 2023 Launch Event

Arts On The Move (AOTM) 2023 was officially launched yesterday at MRT Pasar Seni by the Minister of Transport Anthony Loke Siew Fook, with traditional dance performances by the Mah Meri Cultural Village and featuring an installation by Pamela Tan entitled Sunnyside Up - which will run for the next 3 months.
Arts On The Move was set up in 2016 with the aim of bringing a range of curated arts and cultural activities such as live performances and exhibitions to Downtown Kuala Lumpur’s transit system, beginning with the Masjid Jamek LRT Station. It continued for two years resulting in a diverse arts and culture programming that appealed to the Malaysian audiences and visitors’ that transited the space. The 2023 edition is organised by Think City in collaboration with MRT Corp and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, and supported by Yayasan Sime Darby and the Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia (MOTAC).
