    Love this film. Have watched it probably 5+ times now, captures a lot of the magic of steelhead, steelhead fishing and the passion of anglers for the fish they target and the environments that exist around them.

    I live on the Island. I know where you are but I won't say. I enjoy a good hike just to see if the Summers are there. Not too many places where you can do that anymore. Nice footage. Cheers

    Really like your style. What cameras did you use to shoot this? Looking to get into seriously filming fishing.

      I shoot on Sony A6500, but it's really not about the camera. You can easily shoot badass movies on an iPhone.

    I just would not walk around the forest and go down cliffs with my expensive fly rod up.

    • @PavelFrancev
      @PavelFrancev  5 лет назад

      Would you do that with your buddy's cheap rod? haha

      niall441 what are you talking about man lol do you carry your case down to the river with you ? This is steelhead. There’s never a trail to the best spots .

    • @MichaelPhillips-jw4bj

      @@niall441 two things can be true at once. Yes its extremely common for steelhead spey fisherman to walk through rain forest with there rods I.E top guide jeff hickman ruclips.net/video/NYTEizJXmI8/видео.html The work of rebuilding+ lining every pool and carrying the heavy case on top of you regular gear+launch through 8 hours of wade fishing of +10 miles just is not worth it. especially when fishing many days a week, but we do break rods here and there. Though most top rods are covered by warranty, it still takes time to get it fixed. Ive done it twice in triple digit trips but it wasn't from walking or falling. Yeah your day is ruined if you make a mistake. i've had friend break ankles and have to pay for a heli out .
