Hi Mark, do you make a current version of these pickups? Just wondering where I could buy a set? Are these the same as the PreCBS set or Big Iron low wind set? Thank you.

Is this the same as Amalfitano SVL Fifty-Nine Reserve ?
Or is it the previous company used to make pick ups for SVL Guitar?
    Thanks!
I wish I saw this sooner! Because I just ordered Lindy Fralin Blues Special...

No, these are NOT the same as the Amalfitano 59. As you said these were the pickups previously used by SVL. Now these pickups are called FBG 59 RSV and not associated with SVL anymore..

Be nice to hear them compared to other sets. I only hear demos of these pickups without comparison and they are on two rocks or vintage vibroverb so the Amps are gonna make even a squire sing with rich dynamics.

Bridge, middle and neck all sound like they are voiced with a lot of ‘top end’ similar to ‘Texas specials’.

    great job.
    two questions:
    1. what is the diameter of the strings? 0.9 or 0.10 and what is your scaling strings
    2. did u make alterations on FBG pickups put them to antiphase

    • @ludocipriani
      @ludocipriani  8 лет назад +1

Thanks! The strings are .011 - .048.(Ernie Ball Power Slinky Nickel Wound). No alteration to the pickups. I asked Mark from Fatboy Guitars a prewired 1962 style aged pickguard with no tone control wired to the neck pickup and the other tone control wired only to the bridge pickup. Basically one tone knob does nothing. :-)

      thanks.
Azz 011!! I always used 09 on my stratocaster standard uk custom shop. Anyway I'll try 010 strings .
Of course I've to fix pickups absolutely couse between pickups the sounds isn't in balance.
Can you give me any advice about it.
      Congratulations again :-)
p.s. I came from rome. Are u italian?

+ten walter Si sono Italiano :-) Se per "between pickups" intendi le posizioni 2 e 4, è abbastanza normale che siano un po' più "deboli" per quello che ne so io... nella mia esperienza è sempre così
