Make life magically more affordable and better access to healthcare, education, transportation and things like that? Nope. Cost of living has become higher and higher over the years, and that's during Conservative and Liberal governments.
And by the way, know how Pierre is so giddy about defunding the CBC? How about defund the MPs who make over $180,000 a year, which is way over the Canadian average of about $60,000 a year? Let's see Pierre bravely put his money where his big mouth is and call for a vast reduction in the bloated MPs salaries since he can rationalize that politicians really do a lot less in actual contribution to society than our average workers like farmers, drivers, construction workers, mechanics, nurses, teachers, janitors and front-line service workers.

Same thing can be said for people waking up saying "I'm voting Conservative." The only parties to ever run Canada the Federal level in the entire history of Canada has been Liberal and Conservative, so were our problems fixed last time Conservatives ran government? Nope. Were they solved when the Liberals ran it in the mid to late 90s? Nope. When Conservatives ran it before then? Nope. Hmmmm... do we see a pattern here?
Politicians do not solve problems, they service problems and they rely on problems to campaign on while pretending to hold the answers. But wise people do not fully fall for this. Wise people might vote, when it is time, but they hold in reserve their choice until the later stages and they don't expect voting to be the full answer.
Community-level organizations and activism that is focused on system change is more effective. Like imagine the progress of a town using the One Small Town Contributionism philosophy over the next 2 years while waiting for a Federal election? A LOT of good can be done for the people, by the people in 2 years of contributions from community members to their abundance and prosperity of local access to food, water, shelter, healthcare, education, transportation and so much more! When people choose to cooperate, collaborate and co-own, they have the tools to be the change they wish to see in the world and make it a better place for themselves and the children.

Here’s a list of topics that CBC found problematic with Pierre’s interview:
    1. Canada achieving energy independence 3:15 - what’s wrong with Canada supplying energy to the rest of the world? Why is this being debated?
    2. Parental Rights 5:30 - as a parent, I personally want my kids to learn math, science, and English first and foremost.
    3. Banning surgery (mutilation) for kids 6:05 - there is a reason why anyone below 19yrs old are considered by the law and society as minors. I feel for the parents who were told by the government agents “do you want a Trans kid or a dead kid”? I’m sure they just want their kid back. Instead of the government deciding for your kid, let’s get the kid the much needed mental help and support until the kid is old enough to understand the long term consequences of surgery.
    4. Conservative Platform’s lack of detail 11:30 - as the opposition, the conservatives main role is to critique the failed liberal policies and foster the check and balance in the government. If CBC wants to see more details from the Conservatives, CBC need to convince their master, Justin Trudeau, to call for an election.

      2. Parental rights refers to whether a school must inform parents if a child has come out at school. So what about the rights of the child? Oh right, you're a bigot, you don't care.

    • @coolioso808

Here's a list of responses to your response. I hope you don't mind "The Opposition" role I'm taking because I'm not the Prime Minister, just a citizen who can give fair criticisms and responses to other people's comments.
      1. Canada achieving energy independence: Oh, is Oil and Gas a significant part of that "energy independence"? Let me guess, you think there is no technical way to power Canada without oil and gas and only on abundance of clean, renewable sources? Well, you might be interested in the video "7 suppressed inventions ..." on Index Se7en channel, with particular interest in Nikola Tesla and Stanley Meyer's inventions that quickly were suppressed.... I wonder why!? Please don't blame capitalism for these problems. Capitalism never did any harm to anybody.
      2. Parental Rights: Have you ever talked to your child's teachers or administrators? They are given multiple opportunities to learn math, science and English first and foremost in school. Any teaching of health or inclusion regarding 'sensitive issues' is optional learning that parents can opt out of for their kids. You might notice that class sizes are getting bigger, 25 to 30 can be quite common and with one teacher that is a juggling act that is challenging for anybody, in any field, yet teachers still manage to provide good learning opportunities and positive relationships with students, despite those challenges. Are you advocating for new schools, smaller class sizes and more staffing in schools? Or are you just taking the bait from PP and the Cons and relying on the politician's ideas for what you should believe?
      3. Banning surgery for kids: I have no problem with minors not allowed to get elective surgery without parental consent. We don't let minors legally drink alcohol and since the male brain, especially, isn't even fully formed until about 25 years old, it is questionable that we even let them get a driver's license by 16. There are a lot of risks we still let minors undertake and what it really comes down to is education. Educate young people and parents before they make big decisions. How about expanding Universal Healthcare to cover mental health services as well as vision, dental and hearing? Oh, but how are we going to cut social services and balance the budget if we expand healthcare for all? Oh, I know! We can privatize it!
      4. Conservative Platform's lack of detail: Yes, they aren't required to give their detailed plans at this stage, 2 years before the election. Same way, Canadian voters aren't required to pledge their love and support for Pierre and the Cons until right up until the election when the Cons should be giving much more detail about their plans. Until then, PP and the Cons have not earned my vote or respect. I feel sorry for those Canadians who already pledge their support way ahead of time. It indicates they haven't done their own research much.

The scariest word in the dictionary for ConservativeCult supporters is "research". Harper with the help of Pierre Poilievre, decreased the corporate tax rate by 50%, since then, hundreds of billions of dollars has left Canada and gone into offshore accounts and 'NOT' back into the Canadian economy. Harper and his goons also deregulated mortgages to make it easier to get one, but adding 200% interest rates hikes on the loans, but for corporate investors they didn't need loans to buy up all the land and houses, because they gained so much capital when he lowered the corporate tax rate, therefore literally creating the housing crisis we are in today. Harper also deregulated all other forms of corporations to ensure CEO's had the power to make maximum profits. Inflation is caused by Conservative Corporate Greed, period. Corporate *Profits* for Canada and US hit 3.28 Trillion dollars in the last quarter (3 months). You want lower gas prices?? Remove the Conservatives controlled oil greed, and gas would cost you 10 cents per liter (carbon tax included). And though there’s been complaints for decades over housing, and there’s been a generational population boom that everyone realizes that one day will need homes at some point, for some reason nobody thought to maybe prepare for this. If anything, legislate that if you’re going to have/want an increased population, you have to prepare to meet that population’s needs.

How "intrigued" and confused these CBC people's observations are of Pierre Poilievre is laughable. In response to Niigaan Sinclair's response concerning Pierre on climate, is that Pierre just says enough while, he really says nothing. Mr Sinclair has revealed himself to be not only bias but also misinforming his audience, as these are the following that Pierre has proposed: Axing the carbon tax is an absolute necessity in Canada for Canadians. Very interesting that Niigaan Sinclair chooses to ignore Pierre’s proposed solutions completely (to increase hydro electricity, because solar and wind generators will never provide the base loads needed,) by installing small nuclear plants where needed, keeping natural gas, constructing more hydro dams, and harnessing the oceans tides! Some Canadians my actually believe Pierre has no plan, if people like Niigaan Sinclair keep repeating it enough times!
