This is the first time I’ve been able to rewatch the highlights since I watched the game back in 2008. Italy was simply unlucky that day. 2 possible missed penalty’s and Italy simply couldn’t finish. They were far better than this game showed. Also to note, that Holland squad was exceptional however, how did they get beat by Russia in the knock out round??????

Guus was the coach that had led the S.Korean team to the semi-finals in 2002 WC and the dutch team to 1998 WC semi- finals He knew all the dutch players very well. Their cons and pro's And of-course, understood the way the dutch played. Tactics.
