Gears of War is one of the most important pieces of media, for me. Absolutely incredible to see the greatest franchise continue!
I'm super excited to see how we ended up with Marcus locked up in the first gears. As someone who hasn't read the books (and I probably should), ive always been curious

Marcus would have already been in the army for years he fought in the pendulum wars before e-day. There was only 6 weeks of peace between the end of the pendulum war (which lasted 79 years btw) and E-day
Ahhh this is good info. Is this what the book explains? But this would still be his first time dealing with locust right?
@jaytimetalks Yea the books written by Karen Travis are amazing I highly recommend. And it probably is his first encounter or very close to it you don't see e-day from Marcus or Dom perspective in the books but you do get Coles and Bairds in one of them

Been replaying through the games 1-3 and it feels awesome to go through the stories again ... wish more people would jump on GoW 3 Horde mode
My friend and I are coop through the entire series too. I didn't finish 4 and I didn't touch 5 lol. So I got some catching up to do. The original trilogy is so good
@jaytimetalks agreed bud, I'm currently playing through Raam's shadow, it's an absolute blast XD
I see that Dom is a very popular character, it would be interesting to play from his perspective leading up to the prison. I would also like to play as Lieutenant Kim, or play as Dom, as they can explore the relationship between Private Carmine and Kim.

honestly the most sad part is that Dom will loses his Kids during year 1 on of E Day. it happens when Maria send her kids to their Grandparents to visit and the die too by Locust Drones, this made Maria slowly goes insane and hallucinate about seeing her kids again but not really.
for long years i think 12 or 14 years later Maria runs away because of her Hallucination over her Kids. but Maria did left a old photo of her and Dom together at their home and this had Dom begin to find Maria during Gears of war 1 and 2 also comic books and novels too.
well lastly i can't wait to see old Familiar Faces like Adam Fenix, General Raam, General Karn, High Priest Skorge, Ukkon, and Queen Myrrah .
Defi appreciate the insight. I feel like since I only know gears from the game series I've missed so much context. This is awesome! I'm very excited to be heading back into the OGs story. Dom was favorite and it's an exciting time

Marcus is definitely not a rookie to war during this time in the trailer. He joined the cog when he was fairly young and had fought in the Pendulum Wars and was there more towards the end of that war.
Ahh this is some info I am missing. I know they did flash bscks at the beginning of Gears 4 but they only showed Dom fighting so I wasn't sure
@jaytimetalkgames Yeah, in the prologue they showed Dom leading some troops to infiltrate the UIR research facility to acquire the Hammer of Dawn specs, which was towards the end of the Pendulum Wars.
