It's important to create something unique. For example, I've taken Neil's ideas to create my own style. Of course, I'm not good with that because I started in 2019, but I'm going to continue developing and improving my approaches ) I don't even have monetization on my blog because there is no a loyal audience yet.
I always use tinypng for my images and I use keywords always!! I think it's very important. However, another important thing that is worth mentioning is hosting! If the loading speed is very slow it's unbearable and these methods wont help with traffic if speed isn't fixed, but it's very easy to find something cheap, I use WordPress so I found optimised hosting for it, the price was little to nothing. Apart this feature, everything else was on point, I have some things to improve now. Great tutorial!
Nice info Neil, especially about making site mobile compatible. This is the age of mobile. So if people still have sites that are not mobile-friendly by now, then quite franky they deserve to be left behind.

It's better to start of focusing on longer variation of that keyword and build your domain authority before you take on a highly-competitive keyword.
