Ayinla's surname was Yusuf. Omowura was only an alias, meaning "the son of Wura" because his mother was called Wura. Not sure how this his son did not understand his own father's history. But anyways... Ayinla even called himself 'Omo Yusufu' in his songs. So Omowura was not his father's name at all. Just ìnagije l'Omowura; period.

Upon gotten the news of Ayinla Omowura's demise, that he was killed by smashing the mug of beer on his head by his manager. Despite the incident happened in Abeokuta, every shop within the princint of Garage isale was closed because of likelihood of mayhem his sudden death might cause within the NURTW's camp. According to history we were told by elders, it wasn't up to three weeks to his demise, he came to ile-ife to play for NURTW ile-ife branch. May his gentle soul continues to rest in peace. Aameen.

I think this son is saying the absolute truth, because i've heard this version of the story long time ago, it was said that Ayinla omo wura went there out of anger wearing a charm ring in his finger, and out of anger that the manager poured drink on him, he hitted his own chest forgotten that he had the ring on him, which eventually led to his death, people only tag his death on Bayewun because they both had the confrontation that led to his death

How old was this boy then? Was he present at the bar? It's not part of the history that any of Ayinlas children was a witness when he died. Why didnt Bayewumi or his lawyer deny the allegation at the court? Do you think the judge would base his judgement on hearsay without the evidence of broken bottle on Ayinla? This story is most likely just an assumption based on the belief that Ayinla was powerfully fortified with African Science. Who will be so stoopid to wear a ring that must not touch himself? By wearing the ring alone, its already touching you. So if the ring was what affected Ayinla, it would have killed him before leaving home because it was already touching him

If you are deep in Yoruba mysticism you would understand. Do you think Bayewunmi would openly stab Ayinla knowing what the consequences are? This is Ayinlas son disproving that claim. What would he benefit in trying to cover the murderer of his father? These musicians engage in using juju to defend themselves or attacking their opponents. It is possible that one of the taboos of one of the juju of Ayinla was beer or that Ayinla must not touch his head with the juju. In the state of confusion when drinks was poured on his face, while trying to clean it, the juju court have touched his head and activating the negative repercussions of the juju. Í believe that due to the kind of life Ayinla lived, perharps he did too many charms, probably displayed them too that it now made it hard for people especially his family to believe that he could be killed with an ordinary bottle.
