SPOILER ALERT! … … Finally a Maru win against Serral.. Being watching SC2 since 2020, it was starting to feel like there was a physical and metaphysical impossibility to Maru winning a set against Serral.
He beat serral in 2022 in the King of Battles tournament. They face each other only a couple of times per year it seems E: it actually was in 2021 when that King of Battles tournament happened. He also beat him that same year at Asus Rog
Maru does badly in offline (live) tournaments vs Serral. But he does just fine in online games, as we see here. In King of Battles Maru beat Serral very convincingly. I would even call it one-sided.
Maru ain't washed. He is a person. I'm suspecting he was losing on purpose (or experimenting) when he offers his SCVs as body blockers. Most of his losses, he played lazy.

If it was unnecessary, it wouldn't have happened. Now here 6 months later, Zerg is still winning GSLs and IEMs. So apparently the nerf was fine.
