Break up with basic browsers. Get Opera GX here: operagx.gg/Linkus7 Hope you enjoy the video! A lot of these games honestly ended up being so much more fun than I initially expected, so definitely check them out!
it's bad don't download it, it's slower than the other browsers, and the other features are either bad or useless, and FireFox is more customizable you just need to put some work into that, FireFox is by far the best, clean, fast, doesn't take too much resources, open source
I loved watching him play it, and when I noticed you were in the chat I screamed! It felt like I was meeting a celebrity! Immediately bought it and have been admiring the beauty of the scenery and playing around in the leaves. Truly a beautiful game, and I'm glad it's getting more attention; it deserves it :)
If anyone likes Lil Gator Game or Smushi Come Home, check out A Short Hike, Haven Park, and Alba: A Wildlife Adventure! All 3 are adorable, short games in a very similar vein that still has enough differences to make them stand out from each other. Love them.
man who has only ever played The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, playing his second ever game: getting major The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker vibes from this
It doesn't completely up the quality of the game but several of the songs for Oceanhorn were composed by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) and Kenji Ito (SaGa, Mana series). Those songs were removed from the PC version and replaced with the generic music Linkus was hearing, probably due to licensing. I remember doing a huge spit take when the opening credits listed their names on the Switch version.
I am convinced Little GatorbGame would be a nice aide prohect speedrun for you. There actually is a bit of tech in it and it isn't too hard or too long, so easy to slip in between
I played Windbound to completion and loved it, the problem you're having with the sailing is that you're not trying to treat it like sailing, you're not trying to use the wind. You're trying to just point your boat and go without consideration of the direction of the wind (also: You're trying to put a massive sail on a canoe rather than building an actual boat, go watch Moana and take inspiration from their boats.) You want to sail perpendicular to the wind in order to catch it and build speed, perhaps only mildly into the wind if you're needing to go that direction specifically. You want to use the momentum from sailing with the wind in order to sail into the wind. Unrelated, something I noticed in that game that I loved is that every single enemy type has it's own leitmotif, you can hear distinct instrumentals play when near each enemy.
Highly recommend Lil Gator Game to everyone, partly because its a great game, but mostly because the art team and devs are incredibly friendly and awesome!
If anyone who watches this video decides to pick up Oceanhorn, I strongly suggest the mobile or Switch versions. I wish I was joking. The PC port has some weird changes and the music for some of the bosses isn’t as good. Not to say it’s necessarily a bad port. There are just some continuity errors.
Lil Gator Game is awesome, the routing and movement actually make it into a pretty fun speed running game. My brother holds the world record and it’s a lot of fun watching him.
honestly, even i was like ''i wanna play it!'' when i was young since i didnt have any zelda game, i guess when we are young things really do look better than they were ahah
I played Oceanhorn back in 2017, when I was 27. I remember rather enjoying it - it's a cute, competent enough, Zelda style game. When you want a little more Zelda but have played Wind Waker a million times. If I recall, it is on the shorter side so you can finish it in a day or two. It was the perfect thing for that snowy afternoon seven years ago for me. Not every game needs to be your main game that you sink 4000 hours into. For the record, it released well before the Link's Awakening remake for any comparison in style there. I think Linkus may inadvertently done it a bit of a disservice by putting it up against the other, newer games - or maybe I just have a soft spot for it in my heart. Does it hold up if I played it today? I dunno, but I still would recommend it for anyone looking to scratch a Wind Waker / Link's Awakening itch. A sequel came out recently but it feels like from the marketing it's going for more of a BotW/RPG feel than 2d Zelda style puzzling.
I remember really enjoying it. It really scratched my itch for a Zelda on my phone. I remember it being decently challenging for what it was. Also I remember the music being really good on my phone. They really upped the quality when they made their sequel Oceanhorn 2. I remember enjoying that one also
Where do I even start? Linkus you are my glorious king. When I’m down linkus makes me happy. When I’m mad Linkus calms me down. On bad days when I see a Linkus notification my phone my whole day gets better. Linkus oh Linkus if you are seeing this just know you are my one and only glorious king
As long as you're not trying to treat it like every other boat game that has the sail function as a gas pedal. The game actually simulates wind and so you have to treat the sailing like you're ACTUALLY sailing a boat.
Oh yeah. I remember my first time. Was so fun and different. But that first detour before dragon roost to the chu chu island and entering that grotto for the first time had a very foreboding vibe and then I ran into the creepy chu chus for the first time. I also found the blue one on the statue. And I couldn't take him out ( though one of those canon boats ended up hitting him giving me the first blue droplet )
If you are open to extra recommendations for Zelda Wind Waker copycats (for a 2nd video🙈), i would suggest giving a try to RiME and Tunic!! Both absolutely great games, and clearly inspired by Wind Waker 🤩
I like Windbound, but it's more like a rogue-lite survival game, not anything like an adventure with puzzle like Zelda. The charm of Windbound is it's thoughness that gets higher with every chapter. The motivation to explore and collect stuff lies in upgrading your gear and boat to get easier through each chapter. There are several difficulties from you die and you loose everything and start again from chapter one to you just restart your current chapter, but keep your inventory and your boat. I like Windbound for what it is, but its not good if you are looking for a Wind-Waker substitute.
I had a lot of fun when I first played windbound. Found it was a really interesting mix of sailing and small crafting. I’m gonna have to try some of the other games.
I think Lil Gator Game's real strength is how good of a sandbox it is. I've logged so many hours even after beating the story just messing around in the world
I mean, you say Oceanhorn was inspired by Link's Awakening (Remaster) and Breath of the Wild, despite it coming out in 2013, years before both. It's certainly inspired by (based on) Wind Waker, and in the style of classic 2D Zeldas, but give it some credit; it did Blue Link before Nintendo. Personally, I enjoyed it a lot.
looks perfect 4 what its going 4. looks like @ least a 9/10. but personally like puzzles & tasks that take a long time 2 do. seems like the best of this lineup but would like 2 play the same game but going 4 smth different.
Sea of Thieves is literally everything I want from a pirate adventure experience and the option of playing online with others makes it even more immersive. Only thing it’s missing is the king of red lions
oceanhorn is a fun enough playthrough, and the sequel is a lot better, though still klunky in a lot of ways. But Lil Gator Game is one of my favorite things I've played through this year. It's not hard, but it's absolutely adorable and made me cry a couple times.
Another really cool Zelda-like game is Alundra (the first one! the second one is mid to bad ^^") for ps1. It´s getting gradually harder, both enemies and puzzles, it has a pretty good story (very dark occassionally) and beautiful pixel art. Definitly recommend it! :D
on one hand I am happy that more people learn about little gator on the other I am sad that nobody seems to have heared about it before :( I did the german translation of the title.
The crocodile game is much more heavily geared to be a storytelling game Played it a couple times, first time focusing on just the dialogues and the interactions with the characters and it was quite fun Not a 10/10 experience, but maybe 7-7.5/10
To be fair ocean horn was made to be like a smal indie game and is a lot of fun but was kinda limited cuz it was made for mobile before genshin really innovated what we think of as big mobile games or took them a bit more seriously
You drowned in the ocean in Oceanhorn because you were out of stamina when you went in the water. For some reason swimming in the ocean takes stamina but swimming in caves does not use any stamina. The puzzles do get better and I do think it is worth a try but I agree that it is not as good as a Zelda game. That being said it is the closest thing I have found to a Zelda game on pc. The second ocean horn game is verry different so I would still recommend giving it a try.
Very nice but I can see the games you loved the most like your favorite, Wind Waker. I love ❤ Wind Waker and watching you play it if I did play or watch any of these games but since online and actually, I never played any of them before so I enjoy your opinion! 😮😅😊🎉❤
Break up with basic browsers. Get Opera GX here: operagx.gg/Linkus7
Hope you enjoy the video! A lot of these games honestly ended up being so much more fun than I initially expected, so definitely check them out!
i have gx
I thought this said basic bowsers
Sorry, i'm not getting chromium with a gamer skin.
it's bad don't download it, it's slower than the other browsers, and the other features are either bad or useless, and FireFox is more customizable you just need to put some work into that, FireFox is by far the best, clean, fast, doesn't take too much resources, open source
Im watching this on opera gx
I love that in the Lil Gator Game the guy just freakin' ragdolls off the ledge and goes
"I'm good"
Thanks again for playing Smushi and sharing it with your community! It was so much fun hanging out in the chat and watching you play through it
I loved watching him play it, and when I noticed you were in the chat I screamed! It felt like I was meeting a celebrity! Immediately bought it and have been admiring the beauty of the scenery and playing around in the leaves. Truly a beautiful game, and I'm glad it's getting more attention; it deserves it :)
Your game looks so beaitiful.. I want to stay bewildered and delighted in your mesmerizing, entrancing world.
I've just bought Smushi bc of this, I'm eager to play right now!
If anyone likes Lil Gator Game or Smushi Come Home, check out A Short Hike, Haven Park, and Alba: A Wildlife Adventure! All 3 are adorable, short games in a very similar vein that still has enough differences to make them stand out from each other. Love them.
I was thinking of A Short Hike as well!
Funny thing that I actually have all of them on my switch. All great games some better than others *cough* lil gator game and a short hike
And if you like A short hike, keep your eyes open for Goodlands
I was so happy at the end of A Short Hike and then sad that it was over after getting all the achievements. It was short and sweet.
I loved A Short Hike! The ost is incredible.
man who has only ever played The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, playing his second ever game: getting major The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker vibes from this

I knew about Tchia but never looked it too much. This honestly sold me, it looks super charming.
Have you ever played Tunic? Its a zelda like game with some insane puzzles and very cool gimics
Tunic is great! I'd love to see him play it
I love Tunic so much
This ^
I've been meaning to get that game.
You forgot the part where the main character is just link’s fursona
I am convinced Little GatorbGame would be a nice aide prohect speedrun for you. There actually is a bit of tech in it and it isn't too hard or too long, so easy to slip in between
the amount of writing errors in this comment is charming.
@@shawnbay2211 Right? Like they truly tried their best, they just had to let him know
I played Windbound to completion and loved it, the problem you're having with the sailing is that you're not trying to treat it like sailing, you're not trying to use the wind. Does it have a story? I have it and played about the same amount as Linkus. It felt unfinished to me or maybe I just didn’t play for long enough
@@styrofoam4637 There is story, yes, it's told in between levels. At the beginning of each hall.
I laughed so hard at 'is this... Puberty?'
Also yeah Lil gator game is so great
No way, IronLinkus7
I see what you did there
Whens Linkus gonna start runnin Souls?
Highly recommend Lil Gator Game to everyone, partly because its a great game, but mostly because the art team and devs are incredibly friendly and awesome!
why do I low key wanna see linkus play the gator game fully lol
Highly reccomend Lil Gator game, it's the perfect chill game
And is on gamepass
If anyone who watches this video decides to pick up Oceanhorn, I strongly suggest the mobile or Switch versions. I wish I was joking. The PC port has some weird changes and the music for some of the bosses isn’t as good. Not to say it’s necessarily a bad port. There are just some continuity errors.
If you've not already played it I could not recommend playing Tunic more!
Lil Gator Game is awesome, the routing and movement actually make it into a pretty fun speed running game. My brother holds the world record and it’s a lot of fun watching him.
LIL GATOR GAME IS PEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually remember playing oceanhorn as a child, I now see where my tloz obsesion comes from.
Lil gator game made me feel like a kid again. I recommend that game to everyone it is beautiful.
I remember actually quite liking oceanhorn when i was younger
honestly, even i was like ''i wanna play it!'' when i was young since i didnt have any zelda game, i guess when we are young things really do look better than they were ahah

Also Playtonic was the publisher and Mega Wobble is the Developer for Lil Gator Game btw
I love how Linkus voices all the Smushi characters. Fits the vibe.
Stay Legendary, Mr. Goron!
Relatable
Very true
windbound was one of epic's free rotation games and it was actually pretty sick as a raft-like
As long as you're not trying to treat it like every other boat game that has the sail function as a gas pedal. The game actually simulates wind and so you have to treat the sailing like you're ACTUALLY sailing a boat.
Linkus do you think we could see a full play through of lil gater game
I love to watch or more so hear Zelda videos when I study or do something, especially yours
Oh yeah. I remember my first time. Was so fun and different. But that first detour before dragon roost to the chu chu island and entering that grotto for the first time had a very foreboding vibe and then I ran into the creepy chu chus for the first time. tchia isn't a perfect game but man it scratches a big itch for me
Linkus' impression of the characters could not be any better than it is

Lol I’m loving the voices you do for the characters 😂❤
Love the Videos Linkus
Oceanhorn is a mobile from like a decade ago. And during those times, It's actually pretty good for a mobile game.
I had a lot of fun when I first played windbound. Found it was a really interesting mix of sailing and small crafting. I’m gonna have to try some of the other games.
Linkus yearns for the sea
Mission failed. I’ve played lil gator game.
I like how you actually put effort into voicing the characters. Barely any streamers do that nowadays
So, we're getting Tchia speedruns after All Dungeons WR? Lets gooooooooooooooooooo
Finally, someone loves Wind Waker as much as me. It's my favorite Zelda and I grew up with Zelda from the NES
as soon as he said browser, i knew opera GX was coming up
I think Lil Gator Game's real strength is how good of a sandbox it is. I've logged so many hours even after beating the story just messing around in the world
I actually like tchia - that is one of the most best copies of tloz - nice Video!
I LOVE OCEANHORN!! I used to play it on my phone all the time as a kid! Especially at church

Lil Gator Game looks super cute, but I kinda wish it like, started off as them playing a little game and then suddenly an actual adventure starts haha
Did anyone else get upset at him for not tightening up his sail while going against the wind in windbound? xD
Look at that little guy in the thumbnail! What wonderful character design.
@Linkus7 at 11:42 when you ask why every zelda game has link asleep, it supposed to represent the awakening of a hero.
Phantom Hourglass speedrun when ? By far one of my favorite DS game. The multiplayer also wasn’t bad, I had good times on it
You did Littl' Gator Game dirty with that 6.5, it's such a great love letter to nostalgic Zelda game feels.
6.5 is an above average score, the game is short as f and not most polished 6.5 is a good score
looks perfect 4 what its going 4. looks like @ least a 9/10. but personally like puzzles & tasks that take a long time 2 do. seems like the best of this lineup but would like 2 play the same game but going 4 smth different.
Tchia with the dog made me laugh so hard!!
Linkus would be a goated voice actor ong
32:10 glad to see Linkus is a man of culture
Now all you need is an Iron Pineapple- style intro for the next games
Thx that was refreshing!
19:16 This is a wonderful animation
tchia looks so good actually
You should play Tunic! It's my fav indie game ever by an incredible margin but if you play it on stream just look out for spoilers in chat
Sea of Thieves is literally everything I want from a pirate adventure experience and the option of playing online with others makes it even more immersive. Only thing it’s missing is the king of red lions
Tchia looks like a sick game. I might have to spend some money I don't have to try it
oceanhorn is a fun enough playthrough, and the sequel is a lot better, though still klunky in a lot of ways. But Lil Gator Game is one of my favorite things I've played through this year. It's not hard, but it's absolutely adorable and made me cry a couple times.
oceanhorn is actually really good and the final boss is hard😭😭you should play more of it trust
The second game is obviously more of a Phantom Hourglass clone than a Windwaker clone.
Oceanhorn that is.
second game is alot more similar too spirit tracks and Phantom hourglass than wind waker
Another really cool Zelda-like game is Alundra (the first one! the second one is mid to bad ^^") for ps1. It´s getting gradually harder, both enemies and puzzles, it has a pretty good story (very dark occassionally) and beautiful pixel art. Definitly recommend it! :D
Thanks for recording another video
Lil Gator Game looks very wholesome.
Games 1 3 and 5 looked very charming!!
Also shout out to Iron Pineapple!
on one hand I am happy that more people learn about little gator on the other I am sad that nobody seems to have heared about it before :( I did the german translation of the title.
Linkus! I missed you
The crocodile game is much more heavily geared to be a storytelling game

idk dog storage in tchia could stand to be more zeldalike, I wanna see the dog stuffed into a small bottle like the deku princess in mm
the chat at 45:47 "Talk no jutsu"
You drowned in the ocean in Oceanhorn because you were out of stamina when you went in the water. For some reason swimming in the ocean takes stamina but swimming in caves does not use any stamina. If you haven't played Outer Wilds yet, you can add Outer Wilds to your list of Wind Waker inspired games to play.
Lil Gator is simply beautiful!! People, please play it if you can!!
Never heard of Li'l Gator Game? D:
We've been streaming it, I learned about it before it was released, but we finally caught up to it.
Purchased Lil' Gator Game after watching this. Well worth the 20 USD.
GIVE IT A SHOT!!
Lil Gator Game is made by developer MegaWobble, not Playtonic. Its PUBLISHED by Playtonic.
This is linkus’s first video with a sponsor other than manscaped.
(This is a joke,duh.)
yo you a whole ass youtuber i thought you only streamed. NICE
You sound just like Nile Red LOL
I have no idea why the GameCube isn't on the switch. It makes no sense because, they could've had Wind Waker as one of the top games on there.
I played oceonhorn before a could afford a switch. I had fun playing that game and I wish I could play Wind Waker
I've actually played Oceanhorn and the 2nd game on my phone. I actually think they are the best mobile games
hehe i played lil gator game on the day it released its soooo fun
I was immensely disappointed that the skeleton in the second game did not in fact drop a skeleton key, but just a regular key.
@linkus7 hey what about both one and two of ocean horn which is heavily heavily based on windwaker
pls make this a series.
i wish i could make a ww clone. i am actively thinking up 1 but have no clue how 2 do it.
To be fair to Oceanhorn, it *was* a mobile game first, so the combat and everything had to be done by one button
Very nice but I can see the games you loved the most like your favorite, Wind Waker. I love ❤ Wind Waker and watching you play it if I did play or watch any of these games but since online and actually, I never played any of them before so I enjoy your opinion! 😮😅😊🎉❤
I have play oceanhorn before I'm playing the sequel one
Oceanhorn is literally just Zelda: Linkus Awakening
I 100% lil gater game already before the video 😂
Can't wait to play windwaker the first time.
