I think the logic behind the goat legs and arrow in the back are: He is a satyr (half man-goat creatures from greek mythology who are often writen as drunk) and the arrow is from the cupid. Which means he is a drunken man who has fallen in love. (Just a teory)

Satyrs are controlled by their sex drive, he falls in love with a human girl but he can't be with her because he doesn't wanna turn her into an object just to pleasure himself. Second explanation comes from Roman mythology. He's still a satyr but in Roman mythology are compared to drunken fools because of the way they walk. He's also been shot by an arrow which is cupids arrow. So he's a drunken fool in love.
