In this Injustice Gods Among Us video, we test out The Master's Death Cart ahead of release. I will eventually be doing the same for the Tantu totem as I feel this gear item is really strong.
As for the Master's Death Cart, there's a few things to keep in mind.
1) The Damage on Tag in is staggering damage, think Arkham Knight Harley Quinn, both players will also generate power when taking damage, so Earth 2 Solomon Grundy+Killer Frost can also be used to stop power gain on their end.
2) This is the ONLY gear item that does Area damage on BOTH Specials, making it friendly with League of Assassin's Adept Knives, Fourth World Mace, or personal gear items like Ares's Bloody Sword, Green Arrow's Bow, etc.
3) The Area damage on Combo ender ONLY happens if the opponent lives through the end of the combo. This damage is very negligent and not worth using on someone like Jessica Cruz.
4) This is the only gear item in the game that has a negative effect on blocking, making it easier to deal with Fourth World Spammers, or opponents that block with Lexcorp.
Is the gear item game changing? Not really, I think the best uses are Area Damage, or quickly generating power in combination with Tantu Totem and Heart of Darkness/Ibistick
