      Appreciate the kind words 🙏. I have not, probably should though lol. I use pretty basic stuff especially since the plasma cutter is only 2 dimensional.

    Thanks for posting this video. Really thinking about pulling the trigger on one. Can you get any bends over 90 on the v die? Say 95? Also how is it squaring up parts. Looks like you got a good handle on the machine. Can you also point me to the phase converter you purchased. Thanks again for the efforts and content.

    • @scrapingpavement
      @scrapingpavement  2 года назад

      I've been able to bend past 90, maybe around 100 - 110 degrees. If the piece is wider than 3.5" you can square up against 2 back stops. Unfortunately the backstops aren't square so you need a straight edge to bend skinny parts. I may get some custom back stops made in the future that will solve this issue. The invertor we used is the adx 20hp.

    Thank you for posting! You're right, there's not much out there showing this model running parts. I found that strange that Baileigh doesn't have a better video. Good to know about the delay in angle change. Is it really 2 full minutes? Looks like a nice machine for the money. Can you post a link to where you purchased it? Great info on the phase converter also...

      Thanks for the comment! It takes awhile, ill have to time it and see exactly how long it takes. I bought it through summit, the price has increased for it everywhere you can buy it. Glad we got it when we did.

      Yeah, I had a striper friend do a mean looking dog and the saying "Don't put your hand in my mouth and you'll never get bit" on my 8 ft Cinncinati. I freak out when someone sticks their hands between dies, the thing will fold 1/2 in. steel like paper ffs, it'll pop a hand off like it wasn't even there.

      @@scrapingpavement i was also taught to always follow my work as it went up. Especially on longer pieces or you'll get a weird dip on the one side cause it wants to go up but overhang doesn't allow it.

    Thank you for posting such a thorough review. I had heck of a time finding any info about this model. Based on your experience, do you think this model is well suited for 90 degree bends on 2’2’ pieces of 1/8” cold rolled steel?

    • @scrapingpavement
      @scrapingpavement  3 года назад +1

      Happy to hear that! Ya 2 foot 1/8" plate shouldn't be a problem at all. I got some plans for bending 3 foot 3/16" parts in the future, I'll have to throw up a video when i do that.

    Do they make different punches and dies for this machine or are we stuck with the ones it comes with?

    • @scrapingpavement
      @scrapingpavement  2 года назад

      Not that I know of. I'll be cutting my punch here soon into fingers, I've seen some other shops cut there dies as well. Or even run a custom block on the bed to be able to use off brand dies.

    Is this machine capable of bending 11gauge 5ft long 308 stainless steel?

    • @scrapingpavement
      @scrapingpavement  3 года назад

      According to there tonnage chart it can bend 5ft 11g SS but you would have to use the largest 2" v die as it would require 24tons of pressure. If you went to the next smaller v die it would require 42 tons of pressure which exceeds the 33tons this machine offers.
