Looks like a wonderful trip. Were the fish hitting off the top or subaquatic? Mind telling me what flies worked the best for you? Thanks for bringing us along!

Excellent video. Great shots. Really fantastic narration. Love that you did not use much music--I like to hear the wind, water, and footsteps. Keep up the good work!

We're gonna be in the Winds filming and fishing from about July 8 to Aug 8. Thanks for the video!

Great video. Nice work. When were you there?

Thanks, Brett! I was there about two weeks ago. I wanted to go back next week, but sounds like a cold front coming in on Tuesday with highs around 50 and lows around 25...and that's just at lower elevations.

Great video. I use the same pack and Z7 also. So you were there in mid August, just curious, I was wondering about the mosquitoes? A friend and I were camped at Upper Jean in that big storm Labor Day weekend, our tent was destroyed that evening and it took us two days to get out because of all the downfall.

Yea, I want to say it was the first or second week of August. The mosquitoes at Lower Jean were pretty bad. I don't recall them being too bad at Upper Jean. Did you get any snow with that storm? That must have been a miserable hike out!

@@uintabum4938 Thanks for responding. There was about 3 inches of snow on the ground in the morning. The real story was the wind, I think we had gusts in the 70's, maybe higher. It shredded the fly and bent all the poles of Big Agnes Cooper Spur UL3, which went in the trash at the trailhead. I now understand the fundamental design difference between 3 season and 4 season tent.

@@alanhansen6096 Wow. I believe it about the high winds. I got caught in about 35-40 mph in the San Juans a few years ago with a Copper Spur. The tent survived, but it was a nerve racking experience. Absolutely, it would be nice to have a 4 season expedition-level tent. Two people could split the weight and it wouldn't be too bad.
