It is incredible how you're not recognized as one of the best guitarists of our time I'm a huge fan of sylosis and I will be purchasing this album very soon great job man
Finally 8 years later I'm able to purchase this beautiful album. Thanks for creating such great music Josh, you will always be in my top guitar players of all time!
Man, you and Dave Davidson are the most underrated players right now. You're easily up there with guys like Andy James, Jason Richardson, and Angel Vivaldi in my opinion.
This album is stellar! I used it to fall a sleep yesterday, and I mean that in a very good way! It really is ethereal and provides a different satisfaction to more straight forward metal and such! Very good job on it!
In an age where prog metal has resorted to ripping off Meshuggah and using 7 to 9 string guitars, this is a breath of fresh air! This piece is great! and I love that you mostly(if not always) use standard e tuning.
i would also recommend Nami from Andorra. Especially their Debut "Fragile Alignments". Great mix of different sides of Prog, mixed with some "opethian" Death Metal.
Im really glad Josh is finally making a sustainable living off of music in Architects, he deserves it. Fantastic guitar player and a really solid guy. You're the fuckin' man Josh!
This is fucking insane... I really appreciate what you are doing, and I hope that you'll get that positive response from your audience, with the project that you've been working on for so long... You are my main man Josh, always keep that good work up... We'll always be here to support you.
As a guitar player my first reaction is to be blown away by Josh's ear for melody and his overall technique, but the drumming on this kicks ass as well. Phenomenal musicianship.
I feel like this song take me to another place, far, far away from here. A place of serenity, of beautiful calm. This is a piece of art, I give you my congratulations Josh, you made a SPECTACULAR work. All the succes with this album, from the heart.
You and Craig really outdid yourselves on this one! I love absolutely every second of this album! Can't wait to see what kind of solo projects you do in the future as well as the new Sylosis album ;)
My review. Josh middleton's space metal project Celestial melodies of space thrash fast and slow, errie classical doom solos soar, chilling distortion of magical adventure with a touch of progressive metal. That's some of the feelings I get when listening to the josh milddleton project, the progressive space thrash metal album by Sylosis’s frontman josh middleton. This album reminds me of final fantasies and some dream theater. That classical spacy oblivious wonder of melody and cosmic conflict. The Creative ambiance of old compressed outer space and scientific oddites soars with the dramatic solos of fantastical tragic love stories. Singing some many words through the music itself. Filled with many genres from progressive metal and thrash to hard rock and orchestra. A masterpiece of artistic melody and passion. Get it along with any sylosis albums.
This song is incredible and makes me want to hear more. Except for the name of the "Project" i am more than satisfied so far. Keep up the excellent work Josh! Hope i can see you live in the future with more good songs! ^^
That solo was groovin, with the finger tapping bit to finish it off. Doesn't hit the soul any harder than that. Thanks for all the great music man. Hope you get all the support you deserve.
I already owned the album before making this comment thanks. This video is Persistent Illusion of Transients, thus why I'am making a comment about it specifically. Glad you like the other solos, they're good too. But don't assume things. It's lame.
You were already my musician idol for a long time because of Sylosis..with your side project you will definitely be my idol forever. Sylosis riffs/solos/sweeps are already great but this expands it in some way..those ups and downs throughout the song and the transition into the solo holy shit. I'm hoping for a lot more upcoming Sylosis in my cupboard and upcoming JMP on my PC! (except for when you release CDs :p)
Love the album, you can definitely hear Edge of the Earth/Monolith era Sylosis tones in there but it's still its own beast. Totally happy Slyosis is getting rawer and you're doing even proggier stuff. Keep it up Josh.
Very very cool,i hear these atmospheric passages from Sylosis but upgraded to something that i didnt really expect 10/10 for me now I`ll check the entire record. \m/
Holy shit dude, I fucking love you so much. 8 years I've been listening to you do your thing and it just doesn't get old. I'm hearing some hints of the old school War of the Worlds musical in here from time to time, blows my mind every time.
Amazing stuff Josh :) Love your style and your inspiration, love Sylosis Remains me Al Di Meola in a past at the few moment. you're a genius for the future metal modern and progressive Review soon :) Loïc Metal Obs' Cheers

Josh and Dave have ruined everyone else for me.
Sounds like something Chuck Schuldiner would compose. This dude is a legend.
Josh, you are one of the best guitarists of our time! The album is perfect
Agree
You're damn right it's perfect
This album is stellar! I used it to fall a sleep yesterday, and I mean that in a very good way! It really is ethereal and provides a different satisfaction to more straight forward metal and such!
Very good job on it!
Thanks!
same! i listen to this album when doing anything!
+Josh Middleton is this coming on iTunes in the US at some point josh? Cause I would really like to own this masterpiece.
Im with you there I need this in my life lol
TheMathMog93 Hey viejo, he visto sus covers de sylosis, bien trabajado, un saludo desde colombia

Nikolas Addonizio honestly their are so many prog metal bands that aren't djent... give Earthside a listen for great prog
i would also recommend Nami from Andorra. Especially their Debut "Fragile Alignments". Great mix of different sides of Prog, mixed with some "opethian" Death Metal.
1:52 I always knew Josh's true calling was drums. Unparalleled and original technique.
it's not josh on drums...
Craig Reynolds :)
you missed the joke
Im really glad Josh is finally making a sustainable living off of music in Architects, he deserves it. Fantastic guitar player and a really solid guy. You're the fuckin' man Josh!
This is a fine example of Prog Metal done right. Love everything about the song especially the vocoder part.
Sounds suspiciously like Dream Theatre to me.

We'll always be here to support you.
It really bothers me we won't hear stuff like this from Sylosis. I feel like this is exactly the kind of fresh air sylosis needs
This reminds me of my favorite parts of Apparitions, Beyond The Resurrected, and From The Edge Of The Earth
NO
4 years later and we get a new album with a track called Abandon :)
As a guitar player my first reaction is to be blown away by Josh's ear for melody and his overall technique, but the drumming on this kicks ass as well. Phenomenal musicianship.
This mix is heavenly
That snare added 50 years to my lifetime
I feel like this song take me to another place, far, far away from here. A place of serenity, of beautiful calm. This is a piece of art, I give you my congratulations Josh, you made a SPECTACULAR work. All the succes with this album, from the heart.
Josh you are the best guitarra in the world !!!
You and Craig really outdid yourselves on this one! I love absolutely every second of this album!

how does this not have a couple of million views? says a lot of music today
I dont know man, this is some good shit. Listened to it 100 times...
This guy has legit sparked my interest in guitar again. Not that I ever left it just got lazy and unmotivated. Thanks Josh.
this is so much better than I remember, especially production slays
Josh is the man
Jesus Christ this is mind melting
I thought the song writing in Sylosis was good but this just sends it
Well, I have no choice but to buy that album :) Gotta support the geniuses.
Fucking brilliant, man. Your playing and songwriting make me either want to practice more or just give up..
I like how its a showcase of your great songs and also still center's on the guitar I appreciate that
I love Sylosis. Epic and furious metal. But this rules too. Josh.....thanks for your music.
Oh man, I really hope there's a video for the title track coming out. That song kills, especially the ending
Album slays!
Progressive funk jazz metal all in one song brilliant only Josh can get away with this 🤘🤘🤘✌
Dudddddeeeee incredibleeeeeeee
1:02 I'm blue, da bu dee da bu daee.
Awesome track BTW.
this is so good I'm still not over it.

Amazing album. '62 moons' is my favourite track, with 'Returning' a close second
I wish this shit would never stop dude, it melts me.
Congrats, this album is sick!
This song is incredible and makes me want to hear more. Except for the name of the "Project" i am more than satisfied so far. Keep up the excellent work Josh! Hope i can see you live in the future with more good songs! ^^

You not heard Returning then.... if not, buy album, listen to 62 Moons and Returning then come back and comment on solos :)
I already owned the album before making this comment thanks. This video is Persistent Illusion of Transients, thus why I'am making a comment about it specifically. Glad you like the other solos, they're good too. But don't assume things. It's lame.
Hands down my favourite musician! This stuff is amazing! Totally reminds me of Blotted Science 🤙did not disappoint!
Thanks. Reminding you of Blotted Science is a compliment
Blotted Science is nothing like this. More complicacy. I would rather listen to this. Atleast I can understand what's going on.
Used a lot of mobile data, WORTH IT, can't wait til I have some money to buy the album
For me first there was Plini. Then along came Sithu Aye followed by David Maxim Micic... and now Josh?
Amazing.
Simply ...Perfect!!!!
Fantastic!...this would be ruined by vocals....\m/...the sound is thick as hell!
You really did an amazing job on the album. You're one of my favourite guitarists and songwriters.
Totally love every sound of this true masterpiece
kind of reminds me of "the crusade" the song itself, by trivium. very good
Whouaaaaaa love it ! Great job josh, you're one of my favorit musicians .
Incredible work. Sounds beautiful, powerful and amazing
only 30 seconds in and I'm buying it
The same here! :)
I feel a really nice balance between technique and feeling in all instruments, so much talent
Woaw
Your music is so perfect
My hears thank you
Amazing
Album is phenomenal. The Kemper profiles slayed as well, especially for low tunings
I love the Ken Burns style pans and zooms
This is AMAZING!!!! Oh my god.
This reminds me of listening to my dad's copy of Joe Satriani's Surfing with the Alien when I was a kid. Very cool!
Dope just started listening and already THRILLED
Badass!!!
Reeaallyyy like where this album i going. SO HYPED RIGHT NOW. will buy when i get more cash, cus this is AMAZING!!
This kind of reminds me of Chuck Schuldiner. Fucking great stuff mate!
He has said that Death is one of his biggest influences... I can hear that influence very well in early Sylosis
i usually don't sit through long songs like this but this was fucking amazing
You were already my musician idol for a long time because of Sylosis..with your side project you will definitely be my idol forever.
Sylosis riffs/solos/sweeps are already great but this expands it in some way..those ups and downs throughout the song and the transition into the solo holy shit.
I'm hoping for a lot more upcoming Sylosis in my cupboard and upcoming JMP on my PC! (except for when you release CDs :p)
If you play at 1.5 speed for some reason it's easier to hear how awesome Craig's drumming is :D
Outstanding josh👍
This is outstanding. I really hope we haven't seen the last of Josh and Sylosis.
BOI THEM CHROMATIC HARMONY PROGRESSIONIES.

The riff around 430 gives me final fantasy vibes. This is sick dude
The man!
Masterpiece!
Some phrases in the middle are derived from the Sviridov`s "time forward" composition 2:37
Killer clean like tone at around 2:00 in
This is great.
