En el drama parece que no están divididos, hay muchas partes en las que aparecen discípulas Lan, no son tantas como los discípulos, pero ahí están. Si existiera la división seria imposible que Jiang Yanli, Wen Qing y Mianmian convivan con los muchachos, porque al llegar a Gusu las enviarían al área de mujeres sin dejarlas ver a los varones dentro del recinto. En la reestructuración de historia que hicieron para "The Untamed" era necesario que se encontraran en Gusu para adelantar un poco las relaciones, con la división seria imposible.
