    Mr. Versace's workflow and reasoning, such as sharpen before noise reduction and other minute, but important details turned years of learning and understanding on it's head. Fantastic printing tutorial I would recommend to anyone that prints with any printer. The details may vary, but the principles and philosophies apply. Outstanding!

    As usual for a Vincent Versace presentation, terrific. Very thorough, thoughtful and chock full of practical information.

    Wow, everything actually made sense in spite of being a total newbie. Not sure how I ended up here, but so glad I did. I own only Epson printers. The golden nugget that I walked away with was learning about the output that epson printers rely on for quality prints. As a beginner, that is something I can apply to what I do today. Thank you!

    So much great knowledge. I have worked very actively in digital and hybrid media acquisition and post since the 70’s, and I don’t think I have ever heard someone who has so much practical, philosophical and creative knowledge to share. Things that I haven’t heard or seen from any single individual- more like a living creative collective library with lots of practical experience to share. Thank you-i will look for more materials from you.

    H e mentioned a previous tutorial at the very start of the above video and started right in on black point compensation. Is there another video which precedes this one. This tute was great but I would like to see what preceded it also

      +Martin Schwartz this was a mention about the previous class that was not recorded. There were many attendees in this class that was reordered that were also in that one.

    I have just watched this tutorial and it has to be the most informative printing tutorial I have ever watched thanks , one question I have is as a Epson 3880 user would you say everything or most of this tutorial would still apply ??? Thanks

      Yes most everything applies. The only things would be the innovation of printer evolution the older printers do not have but newer printers do. The theory however works regardless (IMHO) the printer.

      Awesome! I just did not get the bits about the "Picross" thing at 4min53s. What is that? Thanks so much, Vincent!

      "PIE CRUST" Raw files are like pie crust. You want to handle them as little as possible

    I have an Epson R3880 printer should I set my printer to 360 or 270 dpi?

    • @vincentversace8704
      @vincentversace8704 8 лет назад

      360dpi, then if need to reduce image resolution because of dot gain of the paper then 270dpi for the 3880
