Firstly let's put things right these beggars r not poor ok, they don't have a home they live only on the roads all their lives so no money they earn daily is actually spend for the right purpose, free electricity from roadside poles what's left is clothings which they get from people that to is thrown after using, free toilet and water is available, so why do goa want such nuisances, you r not helping them but in short encouraging them, they have never worked in their life they have made begging their business, then they start occupying empty lands of abundant homes, so the sooner the better if these problem are solved , the robberies will come to a end, it's just that the government is not taking intrest, one drive told me they pick up all the beggars from candolim and leave them in Calangute everytime they see them, this is a shortcut solution in fact they should be jailed for a week and then transport them back from the place they have come
