in this dialogue, i see the following things: 1. that women were as highly educated as men. 2. that even great scholars are prone to ego. 3. that scholarly debates are conducted under strict rules ensuring that the debaters do not lose their cool during the debate and it does not become a shouting match. 4. that the person sitting in the position of judge need not get up even if that person's husband is sitting. (as per the norms of the day, a wife was not expected to remain sitting when her husband had stood up) 5. that once a woman was given the position of the judge, she had to remain impartial no matter what. 6. that the debate was on dwaita-adwaita siddhantam; a very deep concept that could not be understood easily. 7. that all proofs had to be given using logic, reaasoning and solid proofs given in the vedic texts. 8. now, it will appear to be foolish, misleading and demeaning for the prestige of both Mandana Mishra and Adi Shankara. However, all i see is that it is a clash of titans - equally talented and highly learned men. I saw the Sanskrit version of the movie and i couldn't connect much to the scenes at all. the scene where the Chandala opens Asi Shankara's eyes was as bland as the debate scene between Mandana Mishra and Adi Shankara. for a layman, the Telugu vesrion is quite enlightening while the Sanskrit version doesn't tell him much. All i saw in the Sanskrit version was that a debate took place for 17 days. the actual debate was not shown - not even a few questions and answers that could shed some light on the nature of the debate. Despite the overaction, this movie connects to the layman better than the Sanskrit version. I don't know about the technicalities of the movie or whether it is factually correct or whether it is misleading, but i was able to connect and understand why Adi Shankaracharya became so great.

moral of this video is it is highly impossible for telugu industry to direct a movie naturally. shankaracharya never shows anger or exaggeration on his face as he is a yogi. this video great insult to shankaracharya and mandara misra too. watch old shankaracharya movie and see the difference. ruclips.net/video/aiwaoWcGtx8/видео.html

This is disrespectful to Adi Shankaracharya. He was a saint of a very high order. The debates between him and his opponents were always respectful, and aimed at grasping Ultimate Truth only. Shankaracharya and Mandana Mishra were far above such petty egotistical depictions shown here.

7. that all proofs had to be given using logic, reaasoning and solid proofs given in the vedic texts.
8. now, it will appear to be foolish, misleading and demeaning for the prestige of both Mandana Mishra and Adi Shankara.
Shankaracharya himself is a south indian
Adi shankaracharya was never like this .
He was a sadhu by nature .
People prostrate before him not opposing him . They did argue with him but in an ethical way .!
But all these aren't found here 🙃😒😒😒😒
really sorry but this is an utter disgrace to adi shakaracharya
But the debate with Mandan Mishra was in a ethical way
Obsoletely right
I want English or Hindi subtitles 🤗
Please make available it in hindi

Still GV Iyer Shankaracharya remains the best bio pic of this great sage.
@Amlesh ... there is no comparision between the 2. G V Iyer's movie is way ahead in every aspect.
We should not compare that with this. That movie is still and will be the greatest one on jagadguru.

in this dialogue, i see the following things:
1. that women were as highly educated as men.
2. that even great scholars are prone to ego.
3. that scholarly debates are conducted under strict rules ensuring that the debaters do not lose their cool during the debate and it does not become a shouting match.
4. that the person sitting in the position of judge need not get up even if that person's husband is sitting. (as per the norms of the day, a wife was not expected to remain sitting when her husband had stood up)
5. that once a woman was given the position of the judge, she had to remain impartial no matter what.
6. that the debate was on dwaita-adwaita siddhantam; a very deep concept that could not be understood easily.
7. that all proofs had to be given using logic, reaasoning and solid proofs given in the vedic texts.

Moral of this video is it is highly difficult and sometimes even impossible for the intelligent persons to win any arguement with fools.
moral of this video is it is highly impossible for telugu industry to direct a movie naturally. shankaracharya never shows anger or exaggeration on his face as he is a yogi. this video great insult to shankaracharya and mandara misra too. watch old shankaracharya movie and see the difference.

This is disrespectful to Adi Shankaracharya. He was a saint of a very high order. The debates between him and his opponents were always respectful, and aimed at grasping Ultimate Truth only. Shankaracharya and Mandana Mishra were far above such petty egotistical depictions shown here.

This film is fully wrong
Adhi Shankar's face never in the form of angry he is always in Santhi
This is wrong understanding of him. He is a terror with extraordinary love. With that anger krishna killed shishupala. Rama killed Ravana because of love. Rudra is representation of anger. Read Ramayana or mahabharata or any porana you will have clear picture.
Yesss ur crt
Well said, people don't understand that where there is devnity like Jagatguru Shankaracharya had there is no anger. Kind but firm words got the job done for him. This actor has full of hatred and anger. They could've found a much better actor.
