Arsenal on a domestic level are the 3rd most successful club by a long way but on a European level one Cup Winners Cup and a UEFA cup (which the fairs cup was) is a terrible record for such a huge club!

The fairs cup was never the uefa cup that’s a lie arsenal fans have made up to make themselves feel better. The uefa cup replaced the fairs cup it was never the same cup. It was NOT a name change like when the uefa cup changed to the Europa League or the European cup changed to the champions league. No it was a different cup altogether. The fairs cup started as friendlies between country’s that traded with each other, where you finished in the league didn’t matter, you were chosen to play in it if your city held trade fairs. The fairs cup was never organised by uefa so how could it of been the uefa cup? The confederation does not consider clubs' records in the Fairs Cup to be part of their European record. So please stop this nonsense.

In my opinion to be considered a European giant you have to have won the Champion's League at least three times so that rules out EVERY team except Real Madrid, AC Milan, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Ajax, Man United and Inter Milan. I wouldn't even put Arsenal on the secondary list since they've only won the Fair's Cup and Cup Winner's Cup. This isn't about fan support or club profile but success credibility. Even Man City haven't earned their place on that list yet, although that may change in time.
According to your logic Liverpool aren't a Premier League giant because they've only won it once. You ain't in the same category as Arsenal, Chelsea, United or City because they've all won it at least 3 times.
How many trebles have Liverpool won compared to City? All Liverpool fans bang on about is 6 European Cups. They're still miles behind Madrid.
Liverpool won 4x before UCL revamped their format in 1992 - which was a joke & I can go into great detail explaining why for young bucks.... but Liverpool have also won 2 CL's post 1992 - so they are absolutely a European Giant..... but this knob saying you can get lucky to win the UCL is laughable.... The rest are just winners, which is still a exclusive club. But it’s a meaningless phrase otherwise, the important thing going forward is being able to attract top players. I dont put much stock in CL before they revamped the competition in 1992 b/c only the Domestic Winner went & from yr to yr Domestic Winners around Europe fall off terribly..... they expanded the comp in 1992 & there is so much player movement now w/ all leagues accpeting lots of foreign players which was not the case pre-1992..... it's just an Insanely difficult Comp post 1992 - but I understand your larger point - Goontards are lost🤣🤣

I wouldn't call Arsenal "a European giant". They are a huge club, no doubt, but at this point City are a bigger "European giant" than Arsenal because they've actually won the thing. Arsenal fan here. We are not EU Giants in terms of EU trophies but Giants in terms of the threat we present in the Champions League against other teams and domestic accomplishments all around. To be a EU giant you would have had to win the UFEA Champs league. We don't have that. Should have won it in 2006. However, I also know a bunch of small clubs that have won champs league. Champs of EU but a punch bag in the League.

@@cad6095Man utd, Arsenal, and Liverpool earned their money through revenues from sporting activities..it was football first then money came in...other clubs i'm talking about have bought their way up ..they were nothing before new owners pumped in money from non-football related activities..its money that came first, then football followed.
We as a club have hugely underperformed in Europe. Mickey mouse clubs like Chelsea have won this competition which arguably makes them the No 1 London club. However victory in this competition would put as back in the top dags position.
Live abroad, as I do, no team is a top team until they've won the CL.
You have to have won it when champions only entered the comp. The comp is watered down now rendering it pointless in comparison
