What an amazing amp, I am 57 year's old, a studio musician, I have been recording, producing, for years. I've been researching amplifiers forever, I just need that perfect sound out of an amplifier without adding , routing, an onslaught of stomp boxes to achieve the sound that I'm looking for, both in the studio and live at church.Looks like my search is over, I have several different studio mics to mic this amp, maybe I won't have to mic it at all. Review later, trust me, I will give it any amount of time that's required for an honest, professional opinion!!

I LOVE my Katana 100, particularly Crunch channel, Gain on full, Volume 1 o'clock, Blues Drive 10 o'clock, Bass more than 12 o'clock, mid & treb less than 12.... bit of delay and reverb.... check out "Paul Stafford Cook plays Cause We've Ended As Lovers" to hear an example of that tone.

Sound quality: 8 (not quite a "tube" amp, but sounds really good, and responds to the guitar and playing dynamics alot like a tube amp)
Options/ versatility: 10 (with the computer app or whatever you call it, you can build really any sound you want)
      Reliability: 10.... no tubes!
Price: 10 (compared to a similar wattage tube head)
I would definitely recommend it, even if you already have a "real amp" as detractors like to say..
