Recently, I've been pondering retirement. I've also invested $800K on S&P 500 so i could secure my financial future. i need an approach to invest in Stocks like Nvidia stocks and of course AI stocks that will align with my risk tolerance and financial goals but it seem to be bearish right now.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

I didn't do number one. I have used my last year of working to get my house ready for sale and make several purchases on items that should last the rest of my life. Spend paycheck money instead of retirement funds. On the emotional side, I'm good. I disconnected from work( other than doing what I'm paid for) quite some time ago and I have several extracurricular activities to pursue.

One thing I haven’t heard any advisors talk about: planning for children’s college. I’m 49 with 3 kids that will be in college for the next 7-8 years. So I am avoiding saving into a traditional savings or brokerage fund because it shows as assets that diminishes the financial aid. Whereas 401’s and IRA’s do not. Once I am past that I plan to switch gears and hammer the brokerage account along with savings. Thoughts?

Screw college. Ridiculously expensive indoctrination mills run by woke idiots. Go with Tech/Vocational schools (community college) or military. Make your precious little ones EARN IT. Worked great for us ($1.5 M net worth) and our 22 year old son who is debt free, a homeowner and Staff Sgt in the Air Guard. Seriously. Rethink your plan. YOU don't "owe them" college.

Unlikely. They know the ACA has been thoroughly baked into the American way of life. It may get rolled into a broader Medicare program. But, what do I know. I'm planning to retire next year at 61 and healthcare will be a serious gating factor in that decision.

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of
information can be a big hurdle. I've been
making more than $200k passively by just
investing through an advisor, and I don't have
to do much work.. Inflation or no inflation, my
finances remain secure. So I really don't blame
      people who panic.
